Forrader 60X Mini Pocket Microscope Loupe with UV Currency Detector & 2-LED White Lights

Great little microscope for everyday use! It's the perfect size to put in a jacket or satchel pocket, or in a purse. It comes with it's own vinyl/pleather carrying case, so you don't have to worry about scratching the lenses or breaking it when carrying it.The two bright LED lights are very useful for seeing through the lens, but they aren't necessary if you're looking at something outdoors, or with a good amount of natural or ambient light. I tried using the blue "currency detecting" light, and either all my bills are counterfeit, or it doesn't work very well.For best results, the scope needs to be in almost-direct contact with whatever you want to see, which can be challenging if you're holding it against anything that isn;t flat. Otherwise, it's a powerful scope, letting me see everything from etching lines on dollar bills to individual ink dots on printed paper. If you're an instagram fiend like me, you can also carefully position your phone over the lens to photograph what the lens shows (I wonder if there's a phone adapter?) All in all, a great lens, and very fun to have on hand, especially with kids!

This little gadget is simply AMAZING! My husband and I own an auction company and regularly need to inspect jewelry, coins, marks, etc. I was not expecting much for the price and was beyond satisfied with what we've got. My husband wants me to order more, as this item will replace his loop that he previously carried with him everywhere. The 60x magnification is very ample. There are two lights you can switch between. I typically use the led white light, but the UV light is great as a currency detector...and also a big plus for small business owners! Everything is right about this product...quality, price, options =5 out of 5 stars!PROS: Compact design. Very portable, comes with handy case. Works well. Great price.CONS: None that I can see.WOULD I BUY AGAIN? Most definitely. I am very pleased with this purchase. Well worth the money in it's value and versatility!

Have ordered several of these over the last few years (It seem that are several "brands" out there that are indistinguishable). Have never been disappointed with any of them. Use 'em to look at trichromes :-)

I love this handy tool! The magnification on this is perfect for letting me see the details on my plants I need to. I look through it with my right eye (take off your glasses first, if you wear them ). I hold it with my right (dominant) hand, and steady it with my left hand, as it needs to be kept very still to see the details. Clear, cloudy, and amber trichs will guide your preference of ripeness :)

I bought this microscope because the others that looked exactly the same had crazy shipping times, upwards of two months later. This arrived in two days with prime and was only a few dollars more.Very bright led lights help to see fine details and the microscope itself is very compact.

Love this scope! There are 2 different light settings (bright white and blue) that are very handy depending what I am trying to look at. Good quality materials - better than I expected. Comes in a small leather pocket to protect it, but this item is very small and easy to misplace. Should last forever as long as I can find it!

The lens itself is really good, you have to get very close but that should be expected. However the UV light dimmed after about 48 hours and hasn't regained its strength. the white light is just fine however.I like it but i cant fix the light so i'll have to end up buying a higher quality one, stinks because id of stuck with this if it hadn't done that.

Very nice tool. It's tiny, so I will probably lose it, but that's my fault! This little magnifier is bright and crisp for use in the field. I've already dropped it twice, and it all still works (both lights). I use it for beekeeping, and it's a great help for my old eyes.

This is the very first time that I have been disappointed with a purchase from Amazon. I bought it to check hallmarks in jewellry and after reading the reviews was convicted that this product would do the job, but how wrong I was. It will work to some degree if your item is laid completely flat and the device is place directly over it. It is completely useless for detecting hall marks or examining gem stones or settings.

Received it next day. I purchased this because the other one I ordered off eBay wont be arriving until next week(china) I purchased this cheaper one last night & Received it today & already the batteries have died after 5 mins use!! So rendering it useless for my purpose as I needed the light. It will probably cost more for new batteries then it will to replace it. Waste of £5 really.

super tiny and fiddly to use, batteries died after a week, get a usb microscope instead.

Excellent little tool for examining watch mechanisms and photograph detail.
