Good feel for this one, but time will tell
Just opened the package, so no time in service. Right out of the box, the rigid cuff appears to be very solid and well built. Use of aluminum may sound a bit wonky, but it does reduce the weight without apparently sacrificing integrity. Fit and finish is everything you would expect from ASP. Even without a fair period of field use, I can point to a few apparent pros and cons.Pros:1. Very easy to deploy from folded into rigid mode with just a quick flick.2. Proper orientation is intuitive because of the sculptured hand grip formed by the rigid center. That said, you will still have to practice to be sure you are comfortable with how the proper orientation feels without looking.3. Once one cuff is applied, you have very good positive control of the suspect while applying the second cuff, just by leveraging the cuffs. Once both cuffs are set, you have excellent suspect control.4. Good security against picking because of the double-bit key, but that's a two-sided coin. See below.Cons:1. This product will not fit in my Bianchi cuff case because of the width of the polymer-jacketed center bar. Will have to acquire an ASP case at around twice the price of the Bianchi.2. These cuffs use an ALMOST standard handcuff key, but a universal key will not work to unlock these "double pawl" cuffs. A universal key will release the latch that allows the cuffs to be folded for carry. Without diving into the weeds, just take a look at the attached picture, the "bit" (the square tab that presses the internal "pawl" that engages the teeth on the bow) has two bits, as opposed to the "universal" key that has a single bit. It's better security, but it means that your universal key is useless. As are your partners' universal keys. The good news is that your ASP 350 key will work on any handcuffs that take a universal key. I'm planning to mod one of my universal keys by cutting a notch in the single bit to make a double bit.3. As with most quality handcuffs, the pawl (the spring-loaded gadget inside that engages the teeth of the jaw) is pretty stiff, meaning you will want to pre-load the cuffs before engaging the suspect's wrist. I imagine the action will loosen up over time, but it may be a minor annoyance at first. The jury is still out on a couple of things, so only four stars for now. First is the long-term durability of the aircraft aluminum components. Probably not a problem, but only regular use, wear and tear will tell. Likewise the locking mechanism of the center bar. I have torqued it a bit, but not really a serious fail test. This is not something I would expect to be a problem with a suspect I have under direct control or in the back of a squad. So four stars for now. Time will tell if it rates five or gets demoted to one.

Possibly the best cuffs I've ever owned
Possibly the best cuffs I've ever owned. A bit pricey but I have to say it's well worth it.

Excellent handcuffs
I admit these are excellent, easy to deploy and even easier to release. My only complaint is that they're too nice and I prefer to use them in a training enviroment vice real-world. I'd hate to lose these during a custody turnover. They're large and require special pouches.

Awesome
These are hands down the best handcuffs on the market. Very useful when dealing with non compliant customers. They are a bit pricey, but they paid for themselves the first time I used them. You need these.

Rigid Handcuffs
Sehr guter Artikel, schnelle Lieferung, Verarbeitung 1A ! Dennoch vollste Kaufempfehlung !
