Going to use this card in my smart phone. Tried several times to load files on it. It keeps dropping them. Not happy.

I bought this card for a Samsung Galaxy S9+ as an upgrade from my Sandisk 200GB MicroSD card, before remembering that the phone only supports a max of 400GB card. I was pleasantly surprised that the phone recognized it at all. I copied all my files from the old card to the new card using my Windows 10 PC. After installing it in the phone, the card only accepted the first few files then refused all future writes, and deleted all my previously copied files. I tried it again in the Windows machine and it would not save any more files, though the card was less than 5% full.Moral: Don't buy an off-brand memory card.

This card is a scam. Only buy micro SD cards from a reputable brand. These cards are usually 8 gigs or less but programmed to trick devices into thinking they are bigger. This results in files being overwritten over and over and files being corrupted.

The thing is crap! I should have known. These cheap storage devices never work. It probably had about 11 GB of usable space. The thing I've learned is if you want space this size you need to get one that is labeled SDXC.

Then when I had corrupted files and files that disappeared after a reboot I went to return and then it was a 1-star product with all these bad reviews. I don't know how these vendors are managing to fool Amazon with the fake great reviews, but I am sure that I was buying a 4-star product because I've had this happen to me before. Files disappear this is not true 512GB capacity storage. BUY ONLY KNOWN BRANDS - JUST ASSUME ANY OFF-BRAND STORAGE DEVICE IS FAKE!
