Guinea Pig House

I got 2 for each Guinea pig and they love hang around in there. The size is perfect but it could done a little better job on the sanding part.

Original review:I was looking for a durable, gnawable,appropriately sized hut for my Guinea pigs.I got these hits as and my piggies adored them from the start. They gnaw on the edges and dash inside when they want to take cover. I love that there is no bottom, no messy clean up, especiallyif you have Guinea pig fleece.My ONLY issue is with the sanding of the wood. There were several spots that were prickly and could have hurt my pigs if I didn't take care of them. Other than that, A+. Bought two and just ordered two more.Updated 05/2019I amazingly still have these piggie huts. They have been thoroughly gnawed on all the edges but are still in great, usable condition.I swap them in and out of the cage with wooden bridge huts to keep things interesting. I now own 6 of these, as I now gave two more Guinea pigs. I highly recommend these. Once mine finally do get gnawed down, I will be buying 6 more!!

I locertainly this house, nice and sturdy and lasts long BUT I would suggest that you discontinue the small holes on the sides or at least make them the same side as the door. My guinea pigs chewed one hole large enough that one of my other pigs could just barely fit her head inside but couldn't get back out. We had to break a large portion of the side to prevent this from happening again.

This has been a great investment for my guinea pigs! They love it! It's very well made, and it is bottomless, which is great, so the bottom does not get ruined from the urine and droppings. I would definitely purchase this one again, if I ever needed to, but its still in such excellent shape it would be a while before I will need to do that.Update: It has been a few months now, and this house is still my piggies favorite! I have many houses that I alternate each time I clean out the cage, but this one goes back in every time. Two of my piggies sometimes go in it together, I am sure it's a really cozy fit when they both go in, but they apparently like it that way! I definitely recommend purchasing this house-hut for your piggies! It is still in greeeeeeeat shape!

Needs to be bigger, my 1 year old piggies barely fit on their own, no way both could fit. I had my grandfather cut the hole bigger because their hairs were catching on the sides. I like the design though, just wish it was 1.5 times larger.

Quality product. Perfect size for one of my guinea pigs to fit in (both if they are feeling cuddly). I noticed they don't care for the size of the opening though, and have chewed it open a lot more. Their chewing on it has substantially slowed down now though since the opening of the hut is much wider now. Maybe having a larger opening, or an opening which went all the way to the floor would be a good option for future options of this hut?Either way, both guinea pigs love the hut now. My only complaint would be that their chewing on this hut is VERY loud. However that has nothing to do with the quality of the product, just the material.

This product shipped fast, but wow this wood is actually the cheapest thing ever. Also when I got it, it looked used and it’s actually broken.. Don’t recommend.

Not only do I love it, but my little furbabies are crazy about it, also. In just a few days, they've already enlarged the door, lol. This is by far a longer lasting product than the wicker items they also love but chew through in a matter of weeks. It's a great fit, too.
