I couldn't use my Sennheiser headset without this adapter. It has performed beautifully, still using it 16 months later. Will order again. Absolutely.

High price for poor quality sound
The sound quality for this cable is absolutely abysmal. Through the headphones the sound is very thin, crackly, and sounds as if it's far away or playing back a bad .wma from 2002. The microphone quality is about on par with my iMicro SP-IMTP331 Headset With Microphone which I bought four years ago for $5. I tested this on a few different computers and the results were all the same. I originally got the SH350 headset as part of a call center job and was hoping to get a bit more use out of it with this cable. We used a different adapter cable at the call center, one which had a telephone jack and the quality was excellent so I had high hopes for this. I intended to use this for the occasional skype call and with online multiplayer games, but it would have been better to buy a separate dedicated headset at the same price as this cable.

It works.
I purchased this cable after chatting with representatives of a couple of reputable vendors regarding compatibility with my DeskMate Dual ear IP headset and I wanted to insure this cable would support stereo output to the headset. While the cable works well with the headset, it does not produce stereo output. The cable also arrived quite a bit late, but that is likely due to the holiday rush. It is nice to be able to quickly switch between the IP phone and the PC using the quick disconnect. Just a little disappointing that I was misled by a couple of vendors.
