These are a near exact replacement. The plastic is lighter than the OEM version. Front and back are perfectly interchangeable with the OEM. I snapped my good backing on to the new front with an exact fit. The buttons on this unit are all silicone and soft. The OEM buttons are plastic fronts on silicone and can be exchanged with this aftermarket button piece with an exact fit to maintain the same feel as original.Good Product..

For a couple years now, I have had to gain entry to my car by inserting the key into the driver's side door...all because the plastic tip of the original key fob broke that holds it to the key chain. Tried to attach it with electrical tape, but that was a sloppy substitute, and I sure didnt want to carry the fob separately out of concern of losing it. Also, didnt want to spend a fortune to purchase a new one from the dealer. After seeing replacement key fob cases on sale at ACE hardware, I thought maybe I could find one on Amazon that is an exact duplicate of my original to ensure it would work properly. I was grateful to stumble upon this.As others have suggested, I took the original buttons (as they are sturdier) and put them into the new case along with its circuit board..snapped the 2 pieces together...and went to my car to test it out. Works perfectly!! AMEN!The new case's plastic is perhaps not as thick and sturdy as the original, but for the price, who I am to complain given what I had been enduring previously.

Works perfectly but when I received mine the plastic on the back was cracked but works great.

I bought a used car that came with a fob that was being held together with duck tape! So I ordered this shell of a fob, and transferred the insides of the old fob to the new, and it works great! The only thing I would suggest to the seller is to include a key ring to attach to your keys.

Rear clam shell broke on my original unit, I took the guts and buttons out of the old one and put them in the new shell. Works great.

I opened my broken at the ring OEM fob and opened the new one and removed the chip from the old on and put it in the new one. Works like a charm.

Works, but like others have stated this is not as durable as the original key fob transmitter and is likely to break easily.
