This is a great Ukrainian cookbook if you want to learn Ukrainian cuisine.

This is a classic compendium of heritage Ukrainian dishes from all regions. Original traditional recipes provide the flavors of the old world. a welcome relief from recipe where the original flavors are hard to discern. This is a good starting point also for those who like to experiment and create nouvelle variations. Buy it before it becomes impossible to get this out-of-print classic.

Everyone I know that has this book loves it. Perhaps their reviews made my expectations higher than they should have been. I am still searching for the value in this book. Solid but not a lot of "bang for the buck" in today's market. If my opinion changes I will update my review. I wanted to love it but I am only liking it so far..

Condition of book was far better than I'd hoped for. I enjoyed the intros to the different sections explaining the traditional ways dishes are served and prepared and how they fit into the celebrations Ukrainians have.

I had been looking for this book for 3 or 4 years. It was hard to find one in good condition that wasn't outrageously expensive! Love my purchase!

I am Ukrainian, and I love this book so much! Bought one for my son and he feels the same! Actually I lost my original when I moved and so I bought this one. Used my other book for 30+years! on the pyrohy use 1 tsp Baking Powder to give you a very tender pyrohy! Each chapter tells great stories about the Ukrainian culture!

Only other cookbook that comes close to this one is Baba's. My Mom gave this to me 40 years ago and it was lost in a fire. So happy to find another.

Lost this cookbook in the Fort McMurray wildfire and was very happy to be able to replace it. The recipes are authentic and amazing!

not as many traditional recipes as I thought it would have.not worth the price I paid.
