Authentic Clear Mexican Vanilla Totonacs 33.2 Oz (1 liter bottle)

I have been using this brand for a few years now and it’s my favorite brand of vanilla. It tastes delicious and I love that it’s clear. All of my baked goods and frostings stay white or their chosen color.

I do not use this vanilla for consumption, although it states that you can. I purchase Davidson‘s mulling spices and I use this vanilla along with the mulling spices to create a warm fragrance of baking in the home. I just put a couple of scoops of the mulling spice in a small metal pan and pour some of the vanilla and a little water over the spices and just keep it in the oven on about 250° for as long as I choose. The house smells absolutely wonderful. The vanilla comes in a nice big container so I feel that I can be generous with it.

After discovering this vanilla on my first cruise to Mexico I buy it every time I go which is usually about once a year. Last year we cruised to the Bahamas and couldn't find vanilla like this anywhere. I was totally disappointed and thought now how am I going to get my Vanilla that I love so much. I had even promised my mom that I would bring her back some. I search Amazon and found it online and was elated! I thought at first that it couldn't be the same thing but decided to order it anyway. When it was delivered I compared it with the bottle I still have from Mexico and it was the same exact thing! Same bottle, same every thing. It also is the same great taste and flavor I love. I use it every time I bake and anything that calls for vanilla.

**EDIT!** Ok, so I’m still not sold on the fact that it’s quite as strong as it was when I started buying it...but! I had an older bottle of Kirkland brand pure vanilla...and well! It is so alcohol-y smelling, it’s not funny! Could it be that I’m just spoiled and so used to the Totanacs? I’m thinking yes, that would be the case! Meta culpa! And I’ll be honest, when I’d purchased the other, lesser bottle of Kirkland brand, it was only $10-ish. I was at Costco the other day and saw the price for the same size (small) bottle...and it is $23.99!! So I’m thinking that indeed, the Totanacs is a great value for the money! Yes, please, I’ll be happy to keep buying it! So yummy!The very first bottle of Totanacs pure Mexican vanilla that I bought 3-4 years ago was excellent! I just finished that bottle up and opened this one...no, didn’t smell nearly as good. Went to measure it out — didn’t realize that I’d ordered the clear by mistake. NO TASTE WHATSOEVER. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this particular type and will be paying closer attention in the future. BEWARE!

Excellent product & price. This is PURE vanilla: "Vanilla beans extractive". Nothing else. At first I thought it was a bit weak, but that was because there was no alcohol burn. Most other brands have at least alcohol & water, or sometimes even more. When used you get nothing more than smooth wonderful vanilla flavor. Bottle is quite large. It's clear, so won't color the food it's mixed into.

I originally found this vanilla on the cruise pier in Cozumel. I would pick up a bottle (then two) whenever our cruises stopped in Cozumel. After we stopped cruising, I would beg friends to pick up several bottles for me.I have now solved my need. Though not as inexpensive as on the pier in Mexico, it is still very reasonably priced and I will have no other in my pantry.

My wife loves this flavoring.

This is the only vanilla I buy. So happy to have found it.
