Gadabout Treated Mosquito Net - Circular

I bought this for a trip to Kenya just in case the lodges where we were staying didn't have mosquito nets with their beds or if there were holes in the ones provided. And, I'm glad we did. We ended up using this on two nights. The lodges had curtain style mosquito nets and the design left gaps at the top where mosquitos could get in. We hung this from the ceiling with removable Command hooks.

I live in the Caribbean, I bought these nets for my family because we have a lot of Dengue fever and now the Chikungunya virus going around. I must admit it did repell most of the mosquitoes, however there was a claim that the net would kill adult mosquitoes if they landed on it. This was not the case. On more than one occasion mosquitoes would enter the net during the day. After being closed up in the net for a few hours nothing happened. They were walking on the net and did not even seem slightly distressed. So the net did not work as well as I had hoped. But it does do a fairly good job of keeping them away, they dont seem to like it too much.

I used this net on a trip to NE Zambia and found it worked great! Several times I found bugs on the outside of the net in the morning when I woke up that appeared sick from the permethrin. I have several more return trips planned to Zambia and will use this net on each trip.
