I will concede that these are very solidly built, and very bright, as many other reviewers have attested. I really wanted to keep them, but the color temperature of the light they put out is very cool, almost bluish, and they don't match any of the rest of the solar LED lighting in our yard, which is all of the "warm white" variety. Next to those, these stick out as kind of harsh and sickly. I think you wouldn't really want to install them in a spot where the LEDs would be directly in your sight line (as opposed to bouncing off of something), because at night it's a little blinding.If they ever make these in a warmer white temperature, I'd get those. And I think if I had a place to use them that was away from my other orangeish warm-white ones, perhaps in a spot where intensely lighting up a walkway for safety was more important than a soothing glow, these would be more than acceptable.

I just bought these lights last week and they have been up for a few days. One already has water in it and does not work anymore. They don't even last (at night shining) long at all. I have ordered the older style before and they lasted for a long time. The older style does not hold up well at all, but they would still work and stay on all night into almost sunrise hours. These new styles are terrible. I'm bummed, because they are so much slimmer and not all bulky like the old style ones. I wish they worked better, I was really wanting to have these in my front yard. **I had them replaced and the second ones didn't work either. They lit up at 7:45 pm and were off at 9:30 pm. Sunny day, no clouds, in direct sunlight. I returned them again, and I'm looking for the older version again.** I returned both and was sent new ones. These are terrible also. They don’t stay on very long at night and are a huge disappointment. I want to return these and find something different.

I’ve purchased several different brands of outside lights that use solar power over the years and they’re never truly bright enough or they failed after a period of time. These lights are phenomenal and very well made. My biggest enjoyment is how long they stayed on overnight at the brightest setting. Last night the sun set about 8 PM and at 4:30 AM they were still brightly lit. Very impressed. The only change I would make would be to make the two screws that tighten the angle of the lights easier to turn, perhaps by adding a protruding piece of plastic that would be easier to grip than the circular screw tightening mechanism at present. FYI, I ordered eight units (four boxes) last week and just ordered another eight.

We wanted some subtle accent lighting in the front yard, and these fit the bill nicely. The brightness is perfect for accent lighting, and they come on reliably at dusk every night. A nice feature: the angle of the light itself, as well as the angle of the solar panel, can be easily adjusted. Easy to install and operate, and the durability seems quite good for the price.

Purchased and installed these solar lights approx 1 month ago. They worked for the first few weeks although with less than expected brightness, but was willing to give them a chance. Over time (about 1 month) the brightness has weakened. The return window just closed and now I am stuck with a useless set of solar lights that do not work as advertised. They are located in a area of the yard with light all day but they do not charge enough to work for more than 1 hour and have very little brightness. I do not recommend this product. Unhappy customer!

I ordered 4 of these for spotlighting statuary and underlighting trees, but one of them broke the first time I used it.The solar panel snapped off the first time I was positioning the light and the light no longer functions.So, I reordered another set, and one arrived with a broken lens that covers the LED lights.So be very careful since the hinge on the solar panel is quite delicate. I sent the seller a note on the bad packaging.I have now paid for 6 lights, 4 of which work and I am pleased with.I liked the ability for 2-levels of brightness.

We normally don’t turn on our porch or garage light but bought solar lights from Home Depot so we can save on our electricity bill and use less energy. We decided to buy these solar lights and place them around our trees in the front yard. Wow - do they give off a lot of light compared to the ones we bought at Home Depot! Overall an inexpensive investment for security and has a nice curb appeal at night.

This light charges well and runs long time for solar light. It brightens a general area but is not a spot light. Pointing it out into the back yard....it lights about 20ft semi-circle well. But you can not see the back fence. I have some solar spot lights the send out a narrow beam and light the back fence. Is I use these to light up grade door and back door. They are bright and work well as area lights.
