Great buy
I am in love with this. My kids get to see the games I used to play and they are loving it.

Great for retro gaming, but a little flimsy
I'll start with the positives:1) The screen is pretty decent for something this cheap. Consoles at this price point usually skimp a lot on the display, but I was surprised at how bright and vivid everything shows up on the screen.2) The controls are responsive. Again, some of the cheaper retro consoles have awful joysticks and buttons. That is not the case here. The included USB controllers aren't quite as nice as the one on the console itself, but they are passable.3) The speaker is plenty loud. In fact, maybe too loud at the maximum setting. Unfortunately, the volume wheel on my console doesn't work very well. Instead of moderating the volume, it works like an "All Or Nothing" switch. You either get maximum volume -- which is very loud -- or total muting of the sound. But, the sound quality is acceptable if you can get past the volume control issue.4) Emulation is very smooth. There seems to be adequate hardware for powering the included titles. I have other retro consoles that skimp on processing power. The result is lagging games that don't play very well. Luckily, that is not the case with the MJKJ system. It performs very well from a hardware standpoint. There are some definite negatives as well. Here they are:1) Because this product is very inexpensive, the material it is made with feels noticeably flimsy. If you were to accidentally drop it on the floor, it seems like it could shatter very easily. Be careful with this. If it is dropped, even from a small distance, it may not live to play another day.2) It doesn't emulate arcade games that aren't Capcom-related titles. I was hoping my MAME Roms from Taito, Data East, Williams, Namco, etc might work on this system. They do not. It seems only Capcom titles can be emulated on this, and only certain varieties of Capcom titles.Overall, the Retro Arcade is easily worth $50. You can play most of the 1990s systems (NES, Super NES, Sega, Game Boy Advance/Color) and there are a ton of titles preloaded, which means you don't have to go scavenging through the dark corners of the internet looking for ROMs. The battery life is also good, which means you don't have to stay plugged in all the time. This is nice addition to my collection of tabletop retro games. If you're into this particular hobby, I would recommend this purchase.
