Best Rifle Rest for the Money
You will be surprised at how heavy and sturdy this thing is. The level adjusters are spiked on the bottom so it bites into the wooden bench top to keep it anchored when the rifle recoils. Throw a couple of sand bags on the trays to weigh it down and it will tame the heaviest recoiling rifle. Some reviewers have suggested padding the sides of the butt cup to hold the rifle upright, which it does, but it will also make it more difficult to align the rifle horizontally when aiming at the target. As I said, the levelers are spiked, so it doesn't slide around on the bench; you'll need some side-to-side mobility. It's a great value when compared to some of the other similar rifle rests. And the front stand will separate from the rear if you don't want to use the butt cup. It is perfect for the shooter that wants to take recoil out of the equation and just focus on aiming. If you were looking for a good rifle rest for a great price, this is it. I have used it several times for sighting in my rifles and helping my friends with theirs, and being familiar with its quality/value, if I lost it today, I'd buy another one just like it tomorrow.

Bad to the Bone
I bought this for sighting in a rifle. Expected some flimsy shaky lightweight thing after looking at all the 400$ plus rifle rests. Boy was I wrong. This thing is Heavy duty. Had to make a couple adjustments for my Remington 700 30-06 for it to work perfect: 1) The end were the stock rests - no way to adjust it to hold the stock tight so I just cut off a piece of a foam camp mat and wedged it in there. Works like a charm. 2) The end bean bag rest were the fore grip of the rifle goes I bought a 24 inch strip of Velcro to wrap around the bag and the rifle to hold it down during shooting. Works like a champ. A couple things to note that you might want to consider: 1) When you first get it assembled and it feels all shaky - turn all the big hand screws a couple times and then lock them down with the green nuts and it goes from wobbly to a rock solid chunk of steel. 2) those feet that have the spike on the ends. Those are some real spikes so don't sit this thing on your wife's wooden kitchen table then try to scoot it around as they will carve trenches in the wood and you will be stuck with an angry wife like me. 3) This thing is heavy. My 10 year old can barely lug this beast out to the truck. While shooting my 30-06 I didn't need any extra sandbags to weight it down. There was some movement of the rifle after each shot but only because all it has holding the rifle to the rest is a strip of Velcro and a foam mat, NOT because the bench moves. I would recommend this to a friend. I did and he ordered one also.

Could use a few modifications, but, otherwise, a good rest.
Disclaimer*** : The only experience that I have with this product, as of now, is the initial assembly and sitting my AR15 on it. Assembly was not difficult at all. I had to spray a little WD40 on the inside of the wheel to get it to thread onto the bolt (not a big deal). The two bolts that connect both bars are not adequate at all. I will be doing the modification with bolts and wing nuts to make it tight. The front rest is actually much better than I thought it would be The handguard sits firmly on the front rest. The back rest is fine. I have read other reviews that say the rear rest needs padding for the buttstock to not move. I must have gotten lucky because the recoil pad that I have on my buttstock leaves maybe 1/8" of room, so not really an issue for me. Other than that, my rifle sits firm on the rest and I feel like I will have no problem sighting it in with this rest. I am glad I saved a little money and purchased this rest over the more expensive ones. I wanted to give this rest five stars, but the issue with the bolts is something that I feel should have been resolved at the factory. I will try to update my review when I do the modification and actually use the rest to sight in my rifle. Thank you. *Update: I got the bolts and they make it a rock solid rest. I am still going to leave it at four stars for the same reason, but would definitely give it five stars if this issue were resolved at the factory. FINAL UPDATE!!!: After sighting in an AR and a Remington 270, I am still giving this rest 4 stars, maybe 3.75... The reason being is that, although it is more sturdy than sand bags (maybe just my opinion), it is still not dead steady. I recommend using weights to keep it from jumping around with each shot. The only real complaint that I have is that the front rest moves too much (velcro straps). I am sure, however, that this issue can be resolved with a little work. Other than that everything works well and I recommend this product.

Right tool for the job
This is my first air rifle with a scope. I originally purchased the air rifle and had the seller set the scope for an extra fee. Upon receipt, the air rifle was dead on to my amazement. After forty shots, I couldn't hit the side of the barn. The screws on the scope were lose and needed to be tighten down. Once tighten down, my scope of course now needed to be reset since it was badly out of adjustment. The Primos Group Therapy Bench Anchor was fantastic. After seeing a u-tube video on how to adjust a scope on an air rifle, with the Primos Adjustable Bench Anchor, I had my scope readjusted dead on after ten test firings. Great product, great value, extremely well constructed. I give this product the highest rating to help any novice, let alone a pro, adjust their own scope.

VERY nice rest for the money compared to competition! Way less expensive.
Looked for this style rest for quite a while. Have shot many different brands, studied them, own some. For the money ... this thing can't be beat! The ability to use the entire rest for recoil reduction is nice. To be able to removed the back end and use just the front shooting rest is a huge bonus! The adjustments work just fine. I may replace the front bag with a nice leather one as I will be using this rest quite often for sighting, load testing and shooting. Very happy with this product and would recommend to anyone looking for something similar. The competition is MUCH more expensive with very, very few differences. First one arrived missing a foot. Open return/replace with Amazon on Friday .... had replacement on Monday! Bummer maybe, but it arrived very quickly. Stuff happens sometimes.

Okay product for the money!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: -Pros: --Inexpensive (compared to a Caldwell) --Heavy (If you consider weight a plus.. I don't need to spend extra money on weights) --Sturdy --Easy to use --Easy to assemble --Room for modifications -Cons: --Guide rod slips off easily once bolts are in place (manufacturer could possibly replace the guide rod with another bolt and washer to make the base a bit more sturdy) --Buttpad rest needs padding (plenty of wiggle room) --A 30-round magazines do not fit with this rest -A few comments: --After reading other reviews on this shooting bench, many people had issues with assembly since the instructions were mush. The shooting rest is fairly easy to assemble by just looking at the photos--at least thats what I did. I briefly glanced at the assembly instructions before trashing it. --I'd recommend adding velcro or utility straps to hold down your rifle while shooting. --I'd also recommend adding vibration-damping rubber padding or foam inserts to the buttpad rest to mitigate excess rifle movement. --Also, I'd suggest a bubble level when trying to level the rest. -- If you have an AR-15, you're limited to a 20-round magazine since a 30-round mag won't fit.. but even with a 20-round mag, theres very little wiggle room to release the magazine without tilting the rifle (see photos). --I have not tested the rest yet, but will provide an update after a few visits to the range. So far, 5/5 stars! RANGE RESULTS: After taking it to the range the first two times after I made the purchase, I decided to remove the front fastener and guide rod and replace it with a bolt and wing nut (see photos). Doing this, Ive been able to attach and detach magazines faster without having to tilt the rifle. After my third visit to the range I noticed white pebbles around my range bag but didn't think anything of it until I got home. The hand guard pad on the shooting rest began tearing--and only after my third use! Unsure how to fix this issue at the moment and am unsure if I received a dud since other reviews don't mention this problem. See photos for more details. I'm giving this product a 3/5 stars for this particular issue.

Decent rest
Overall, this rest works great. I like the fact that you can take the butt support arm off and have a large heavy front rest for handguns or to use with rear bags with your rifle. it has a lot of length adjustment too. the only concern that I have found is where the two sections meet ,there is a little flex that causes a little bit of a wobble . Once I determine the best length for several rifles, I will probably use a couple of machine bolts to make it more rigid . This has a good amount of elevation adjustment to it and they lock down tight, also very heavy without the weight bags. If you were using super magnums the weight tray would accommodate two bags of lead shot to hold it down and reduce recoil

Group therapy
I used a strap to wrap around the gun bench and the primos sled I did use a cushion in the rifle stock seat and Velcro straps to strap the rifle down and it works great and it was a custom chassis 300WM no problem and half the cost of a lead sled

This bench rest has proved to be very good indeed. It is solid, nicely engineered and perfectly designed. The stock holster holds the stock well and absorbs almost all the recoil and the adjustable screw feet with the pointed ends grip the bench very well. Finally, the heavy fore end wheel permits minute adjustments and solid locking. With this piece of kit, anyone with a decent rifle and a good reload should be able to drive tacks and make clover leafs at 200 yards.

Great product.
A great product. The vertical and horizontal fine adjustments are excellent, as are the coarse or base adjustments. Also, the fact that one can quickly remove the front and use it as decent pistol rest only adds to the value. Given the features and the price, I say Bushnell has a winning combination. Highly recommended.

I took the advice of other reviews and ground down the points of the four rest screws first.. Also added cushioning to fill the void in the butt stock rest and that snugged things up nicely. It certainly improved my shooting when working up loads incrementally to determine the most accurate hand loads for each gun.and it does a good job with reducing recoil. Well built and simple to use. When on the bench setting up use a levelling tool to to adjust all set screws Love it
