Replacement Tire Compatible/Replacement for Segway Kick Scooter ES1 ES2 and ES4 Solid Tire. Front Motor Wheel

This IS the right size for a Ninebot ES2/ ES4. But Jeebus it is hard to get on if you are not prepared. It will appear too small. After trying to get it on with screwdrivers as levers and hot water soaking to soften it and getting nowhere, I had to reassess. I got my calipers out measured the tire and the rim. The rim is approx 150mm and the tire is approx 135mm. So I designed a 3D printed thing kind of like jewelers use to re size rings. It goes from 135mm to 150mm. While it was printing, I wedged as many scraps of wood I could into the middle of the tire to stretch it out. 6 hours of stretching later, and my 3D printed helper tool came off the printer. I ran a bit of dish soap on the tool for lubrication and got a rubber mallet out and with some pushing and tapping it went on fairly easily, all things considered.

The front tire will wear out fairly fast on these scooters, so there is a need to replace them regularly. The rubber is stiff and takes a lot of force to push onto the wheel (see youtube videos of strong guys huffing and puffing). I found it 100% necessary to build a tapered jig out of a duct tape roll to be able to push and pound the tire onto the wheel.

These are a pain to get onto the ES4 wheel. I soaked in really hot water for about 20 minutes, refilling in order to keep the water hot. Got the tire on and now get great front wheel drive traction.

This was installed for a Segway ninebot es4. The tire appears small but I was able to install it with a little elbow grease. Heat up the tire with hot water and use soap and three flat head screwdrivers to get it on. Once installed it seam the perfect size.

Does not fit on front of Segway Ninebot ES4 scooter. Brought it to a certified Segway technician and was told that this tire is too small no matter how much it is microwaved or heated in water. WARNING!! DO NOT PURCHASE FOR NINEBOT ES2-ES4 SCOOTERS.

This tire is NOT compatible with ES2 (Ninebot Segway). The correct size should be 8x2.125. You’ll regret to buy a different size, no matter how hot the water in your pot...(speaking from own experience).
