defective
stem would not turn, too long and did not work. Only discovered after installation, what a pain. Normally champion makes good products, this one should never have left the assembly line.

Appears Good Quality But...
I didn't like this irrigation valve actuator because it was a bit too long for my anti-siphon valve; i.e. it seated too tightly that it was unable to raise enough for proper water flow. This may be because my valve is a 25+ year old original brass valve where a brass actuator is best used.Overall, this valve actuator appears good quality for a plastic valve actuator and may work well for others. I just wanted to relay my experience for others with older anti-siphon valves who may encounter this same problem.

OK but needed to repair one soon after purchase.
Don't expect the same reliability as the brass ones. One of them started leaking at the manual valve opening at 3 months. I just screwed in a larger tapered screw. Could no longer test it at the valve but it stopped the leak. I thought the plastic manual valve opening would not corrode out but I guess the problem is with plastic, you cannot tighten the valve enough. Now I have to use the electronic timer to open/test the valve but basically still works with the mod.

Much improved plastic valve
I've got Champion brass bodied sprinkler valves. When I converted to automatic from manual valves 12 years ago, I bought the plastic actuators, and was disappointed almost immediately - they failed within a year. After a rebuild on a brass actuator didn't stop a leak, I decided to try again, and the valve that came seems to use a much improved plastic. It's a little heftier than those I bought in the past, and I think the plastic is loaded with graphite or something, seems tougher than the old version. I've just had these for a little while, but I'm hopeful I get the same life as the brass ones. There is no issue with fit, they drop right in (although its a little tough to get the anti-siphon lid back on with these bigger bodied actuators).

works just fine. I don't think two of them would fit ...
Wider than the original but, works just fine. I don't think two of them would fit side by side on my set up.

waste of money
More like a temporary fix that barely gets the job done. Very cheaply made and not happy with purchasing this product at all.

Worked like a 'champ'
A very short swap-out for old, mechanical valves. Worked like a 'champ'!
