One of Two Similar Guitar Tab Books of "The Wall", This One More Accurate, But...
I'm reviewing the print book rather than the Kindle edition. This is the "Guitar Recorded Versions" book published by Hal Leonard, who also publishes a similar-looking version which is a "Guitar Tablature Edition".On the whole, I'd say this version is more accurate in its transcriptions. The Guitar Tablature Edition includes pictures of the album artwork, images from the film, pictures of the band members, and includes the lyrics with artwork in addition to within the notation. This book is a little more "let's get to the point" and just has the music. If you're a guitarist wanting a no-nonsense get-down-to-business tablature edition of the songs from The Wall, this is probably the better choice.Though I paid the same for both books, this one is less expensive on the back cover. It's also lighter - 146 pages versus 240-ish - so it'll sit on a stand better and open flatter, etc. Both books are the music from the Album, not the Film (the film contains different arrangements of some of the songs, as well as additional songs beyond what the Album has).In addition to fairly thorough inclusion of all of the guitar parts, including 4 part harmonies in some instances, the Piano and other Keyboard/Orchestral parts are often included as "Piano Arranged for Guitar" staves, so for those bands without Keys, this would help a Guitarist figure out those additional parts and fake them on guitar where necessary.(The other book does a better job at the Piano/Keys parts in standard notation if anyone is looking for that). The tablature also seems pretty accurate. I haven't checked every single little thing, but it's pretty spot on. The other book, while nicer in terms of more goodies, takes a little more license with some of the songs. But most of things are little things - like playing a note on the 4th string rather than 3rd, or playing some licks in a different position, or whether a chord is 3 or 4 notes, and simple things like that.Since I paid the same for both books, it's really a toss up - the Guitar Tablature Edition version is a nicer book overall in terms of extra goodies, but the Guitar Authentic Versions book this review is about is more accurate overall.

Bass Player
Easy to read in its standard format. Too bad the music was not transcribed in bass clef. I would've love to have jammed out on Comfortably Numb!! Awesome set up!!! Can't believe every song from the show is in here?!?!?

Be warned, there are two versions of this book
This version is the best one if you want to have accurate tabs that are easier to readThe other version, which I mistakenly bought thinking it was this one, is full of more of the artwork and has probably a greater style to it, but essentially isn’t the reason most of us would purchase a guitar tabs bookIf you can afford them both get them, if you can only afford one get this one

Excellent scores.
Rather than copy Mr. Gilmour's magnificent guitar work, I use it as a jumping off point for my own riffs and compositions - Not copying but being inspired. - BUT this is note for note perfect. I hope it inspires you.

Great For Fans Of The Album And Film
I have searched a long time for this book. As a life long Pink Floyd fan, the film version of The Wall remains one of the most powerful ever made. This book is a compliment to the film, featuring lyrics to all the songs used in the film and vivid stills. They go great together and it's a shame this book is not in print anymore, as The Wall has achieved cult status. Glad that I have finally found this one, it was worth the price and the pages are in pristine shape. Reading the lyrics along with the album is great, and I also think this is the album and movie that made me sit and reflect on my own life. really brings back memories, as I was ten when the film was released. Thanks again.

The film in photos
This is sort of an oddity. In the late 1970s and '80s, it was pretty commonplace for films to adapted into photo-filled storybooks which were generally peddled at school book fairs. Home video was still pretty new (and outrageously expensive) at the time, so if you wanted to revisit a movie outside of the theater, that was your best bet. Glancing at this book, this seems to be exactly what it is. What makes it strange is that this R-rated film was HARDLY aimed at young schoolkids and, though they've nixed the nudity, there are some pretty horrific images (including a still of Scarfe's animation of a man literally getting his brains bashed in).Featuring 270-some pictures of varying sizes, the book chronicles the film's story through photos and includes lyrics from each of the songs (including "Hey, You," which was omitted from the final cut --though the stills included are of footage which was transplanted to another scene). A few of the photos were taken on set, but the vast majority were lifted straight from the film's negatives. It's a book that's very nicely designed and cool to look at, but if you own the movie in any format, there's virtually nothing here that you don't already have.
