Great wireless NES controller
This is a really good controller that works with no problems and through objects from a good 20 feet tested. It also works in the Old Skool consoles. Has a nice light weight feel in your hands and fits perfectly in your pocket for those quick emergencies. I don't believe there is a downfall to this controller that I've seen. Works perfectly with every button. Plugged it in and it syncs quickly. After it's Synced : (To Wake Up Controller while Game is On) Press Arrow Pad to wake up controller when light is off because of not using it for a while. (Turn controller on) Press the Arrow Pad to turn on remote after turning game on. Note: (Press Arrow Pad in any direction for both)

Great controller if you can get one
Very responsive wireless controller with the original controller type connection. The rechargeable battery is a great upgrade. I love this controller and highly recommended it. The biggest problem is finding it in-stock. I have wanted a second one for months, these are tough to find.

Pairing could be better
I own several classic gaming clone consoles ranging from cheap to expensive. Sometimes I like to bring one of my cheaper consoles over to a friend's house to play some games. I don't feel comfortable bringing my nicer 8bitdo controllers. I decided to buy these controllers. As far as controllers go, they work and feel great. The only thing I don't like about these is the pairing. They seem to take a lot longer than they should to pair. The pairing buttons are tiny and you need to use your fingernails in order to push the buttons on the controller and receiver. Trying to pair 2 controllers is a bit tricky at times. I guess I've become so spoiled with 2.4 ghz wireless controllers that I find pairing Bluetooth controllers too time consuming. Other than that, I can't complain. They're very responsive. They feel well made. The buttons and d-pad feel as good (to me) as original controllers.

Works great with NES, but not on Android or Windows.
It works great on the RetroN paired to it's own dongle, but I couldn't get it to work with my phone, a Google Pixel (which it crashed), a Windows 11 machine, or a Kindle Fire tablet. Maybe it's defective and a return would work, but it's fine connecting to the dongle that plugs into the NES, and that's where it's found it's home.

If you have original NES, these controllers are poorly made for it.
I purchased 2 of these controllers to use in my original NES consoles which I own 4 of. While the packaging and Amazon description state it will work for NES, and the connection appears to be the original 7 Pin connector, these dongles do not fit the original NES hardware. I tried using both dongles in all four of my consoles. They slide in about halfway, but do not fit snug into the connection slot. Just breathing on it heavily will make them fall out. To see if I could even get the controllers to work, I took apart one of my consoles and took out the NES's 7 Pin female connection port out by the wires then connected the BT dongle and wrapped 2 rubber bands around the connection to keep the dongle in place. Doing this allowed a good enough connection for the Bluetooth adapter to be powered and make a connection with the controller. I was able to play a game using them but I am not leaving my NES half dissected with the 7 pin connectors exposed outside of the console's frame. And I don't expect others to even know how to do this (if you don't know what you're doing, don't do this). So I contacted Hyperkin's Support before returning this hoping these were 2 lemons and they replied "unfortunately I don’t know if this is a wide spread problem, I would advise doing an exchange and if similar problems persists feel free to contact us for any further assistance." While I would love to believe them, the amount of bad reviews on just this Amazon page alone dictate this is a well-known issue. A quick Google search will also show from various sites and Reddit that anyone that purchased this to use in the original NES hardware is experiencing the same problem. A user on Reddit stated a similar experience with Hyperkin's Support and did send it to them for an exchange. He received a new controller from them and the BT adapters did the same thing, wouldn't fit snug, couldn't keep a constant connection. If you are past the point of being able to return it through Amazon, I would suggest contacting Hyperkin to see what they will do for you. I did come across a user that stated they fit nicely in the top loader version of the NES as well as the original Four Score Multi Tap controller port peripheral. I would advise anyone looking for an original NES (Front loader version) wireless controller solution to completely avoid this product and look for 8bitdo's N30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad controller which is being released July 15, 2020. Not only is it cheaper than this one, but should fit in your NES hardware like it should AND have less lag than a Bluetooth connection. I should be receiving my pair by this Friday, July 17th, 2020. I will update once I know how they fit. Hope this helps someone in the same situation I was. Believe the reviews, they don't work for the original NES.

Great Feel and Responsiveness
I picked this up to use with emulators on the PC. I realize I could use an Xbox or Switch controller, but this size and layout just takes me back. It works well without noticeable latency. It was easy to pair, and the battery lasts a long time in between charges. My only gripe is that they use micro-USB for the charge port instead of the (now) more common USB-C connector.

Great buy
Not sure if it's my old nes or this plug adapter it came with... my original nes controllers fit fine. I have controller extensions that I was using before buying this. The adapter wouldn't fit in the nes. It was so loose it wouldn't even stay in. I plugged in my extension piece and then the adapter into the extension. This fit perfectly and works amazing. Totally unsure why everything else fits fine and that the adapter works with the extension and not the nes port but now that it works it's awesome and it even connects to my switch flawlessly!

Make sure you push dongle completely into the port. I have to hold console to remove dongle. It works so good that i purchased a 2nd one. Great product.
