This is a great product for the lake or rafting. I bought it for my pool. It does work as advertised, however the ice melts extremely quickly in the warm pool water. I am currently trying various icing methods to keep drinks cooler longer. I've frozen some larger ice blocks which will hopefully work better than ice cubes. I have had some success with ice packs from the freezer. However, no real complaints about the product itself. For the very reasonable price the insulation is sufficient.

The INTEX Mega Chill Inflatable Cooler was exactly what we needed for our river trip. It’s surprisingly sturdy and spacious, holding plenty of ice, drinks, and snacks without tipping over. Sooo this cooler is really neat. The PROBLEM is there's no insulation part at the bottom. The cooler part sits in the water as well and melts the ice. I'm going to try and cut a round piece of styrofoam to put inside the bottom and it should be perfect!

I'm super pleased with this cooler! We took it on it's first float when we tubed the Guadalupe river last month. We used it to hold some snacks and drinks, and on the outside of the cooler we put our waterproof speaker in one the extra holders. The cup holders were big enough for my yeti cup too.

A bit disappointed. The good - floats well and the cupholders are good. I like the included rope. Not so good - first, it really needs an inflateable floor inside the cooler portion, to elevate the ice and drinks up off the plastic that is touching the water. Water is very, very good at transmitting heat and thus any ice melts very quickly. A simple inch tall inflated part here would put a layer of air (insulates very well) between the water and ice and it would last much longer. Also the lid is very flimsy. Held on by a small, 2 inch piece of plastic that seems very easy to rip off. This could have been designed a bit better to fit down inside the ice chamber to provide a better seal. Bottom line - there are probably better floating coolers out there, but for the money its not bad. I recommend putting a towel or something in the bottom of the cooler part to help insulate it, and then using ice blocks or something reusable instead of actual ice to keep your stuff cool.

It's a cooler that floats!! Let’s talk about it first. The quality is excellent. The drink holders are solid and hold well. The extra storage areas around the sides are perfect. And the cooler area, plenty big to hold a 12 pack, some food, and some water. Just fill it up with some ice and close the lid. The lid is solidly attached on one side with Velcro on the other. It will stay in place no problem and provides protection for your contents. If you purchase another of the Intex floating tubes you can connect this right to them with the special clips and rope that are provided. This keeps the cooler right where you want it. I used this cooler for going down the river on a recent trip. There were two coolers to choose from. This one and the much larger rectangular one. My review will focus on the good and bad points of both of these. Getting to the river with this float can be a pain if you have to walk from your trunk down there. First, the cooler is inflated, full of ice, the contents and kind of bulky to walk with. If you don’t have to walk far then you are lucky. Plus, you are probably going to have to bring everything to the river in another cooler and then put it in this one when you get there. Now, if you have a round cooler that will slide into this, great, perfect, wonderful. I didn’t. Someone on our trip had the Intex rectangular floating cooler. They did not have the lid on it. They filled their cooler at home with everything they needed, ice, drinks, etc. When we got to the river, they filled their tubes and carried the cooler to the river, and dropped the cooler into the tube. Done. I, on the other hand, took my cooler to the river, poured the contents into this floating cooler, and then I too was done. Except, I had to walk back to the trunk to put my other cooler back…extra trip. So what bonus does this have over the other? The drink holders and the storage area. You don’t get that with the rectangular cooler. Plus, it is a bit smaller, a little bit easier to maneuver, and I had no problem figuring out which cooler was mine, as nobody had one like this. One last thought. Do you have a pool? This is the perfect cooler for your pool. Let me repeat, this works great on the river if you can be a bit organized, but at home in the pool….perfect.

Well I’m disappointed in this cooler. It does not keep ice for very long. It melts fast!!!! It did not keep my drinks cold at all. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to get out of the pool every 15 mins to get a beer. I was so excited to get this for my pool but not now. Don’t waste your money on this cooler because if you think it will keep your drinks cold it won’t!

i really love this UFO inflated object - and it big in a good way. It so easy to blow up, and it keep it air pretty good and long time. It fun for both grown up and children to. I bough this in February 2024. It came fast and save, when it was delievered only a few days later. I know most will use it for like pools, beachs etc -and there also some wire with if you need to attach it safe to something so it eg donot get away on the water etc. This would be so cool to use - because there alot of space for ice tube in the middel ( open up the lid ) and for what ever type of drinks to have - the holes around are good in size to have also a cold softdrink or maybe some snack in or other things if needed. However I didnot buy it for beach or pool party. I bough it for this year Halloween 2024, when I decorated the home for my nephew and niece - during the vacation here in October. You can use the idea, how ever you like in a halloween theme. But I made an UFO crashes down, where I place LED light etc. So you can use it for all kind of things, creative ideas for eg parties inside or outside. I put some photos that show how it look like blow up in size, how the lid open and so. I also add how I use it as creative thing for Halloween - as the UFO inflated thing it is photo and video. I just love this, and I can recommed it big time. It good, easy to use, fun and so.

Great quality and price. This saves a few trips up ahill back to the cottage, and gave us more quality time in the water!

Best addition to our pool. We hook ours up to the ring float. I spend hours floating round the pool with drinks and book in reach.
