It works, not just for Capehart turntables
I have an old Emerson NR303TT and a recently purchased TechPlay ODC5E turntable, and these needles work with both. Apparently many of the nostalgia and cheap made in China turntables use this type of needle. I verified with the seller that these are diamond, not sapphire or ruby styli as the diamond type lasts about twice as long. At $5 a pop this is a good value, since other compatible needles are upwards of $10 each. So I am pleasantly surprised: enthusiastically recommend these.

Yes, the reviews were too good to be true
Stupidly I bought this as a Christmas present three months ago and didn't try it out until today. The phonograph itself is cute but the sound quality is quite tinny, particularly with monaural records. It does play 78s but with most it shuts off prematurely since the auto shutoff feature is designed to work with 45s and LPs only. Connection to an external speaker or amplifier creates 60Hz hum. The worst thing I bought on Amazon in 2015.
