Absolutely awesome case for my Daniel Defense AR with scope but directions lack. So I wrote my own.
The best case I've owned. I did done a ton of research and decided to go with this one due to the ratings it received. I was not disappointed. It has a built in anti-corrosion system which I didn't know.Pros:Fits my Daniel Defense V5 with scope and bi-pod attached no problem with room to spare.4 corner compartments that can hold a 30 round clip, bi-pod, scope, etc when detached.Very sturdy construction with optional straps that can be anchored to the case.Cons:For such an awesome case the directions leaflet suck. Brevity is the sole of wit but the directions lack in any real functional explanation and makes it seems like a chore to set it up; which it's not.Can pinch fingers when snapping the latches while holding the carrier handle. Not really a con due to the latches and seal being hard and tight. So more like a warning.Only 4 straps provided. I feel 6 would be optimal. Here's an explanation on how to set it up and it's features:It comes with 4 dividers. They are plastic but these are made with the anti-corrosion material. Just having them in the case prevents corrosion, they just conveniently made them dividers as well.@ 36 seconds you can see how that material prevents corrosion: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vJscjAuaKLcThere are 2 sections of egg shell foam, one for the top lid and one for the bottom. (The lid to me is the half of the case that comes down, when the latches are facing me, and latches go down to snap. Just my preference)Flip each egg foam over and gently stretch them at the corners and you will see every corner has a line of lacerations that you can run a knife through to separate a corner. DO NOT CUT YET.Take both egg foams out and position your gun in the case and now close your case thinking about those 4 corners. My setup, with my case closed, the top left and top right provided enough room where my gun fit perfectly. As per the brief instructions they provided a corner section divider (on the lid) should match the corner section of the (bottom lid) when closed. Simple put, when the case is closed the plastic dividers from one side of the case should kiss the dividers to the other side.Ok you figured out what corners best fit your gun. Now time to cut.I started with the lid foam, top left right setup. I removed the foam, flipped it over and spread out the corner the lacerations with my fingers. I took a sharp knife and drew it between between my fingers while spreading the lacerations to cut the corners out. (Remember only TWO corners need to be cut out on each piece of foam.)Bottom lid foam I repeated the same to match the top. (I re-inserted the foams a couple times to make sure I was cutting the right corners to "kiss" the corresponding corners of the bottom lid.)Now you can refer to the inserted directions how to anchor the plastic sections and install the straps. One thing I noticed is the straps that go through those sections you just cut out, when screwed down, have slack and push the foam up. I simply cut them in two and removed the excess that was pushing the foam up.Hope this helps. Awesome case for the money and I would like to have all my guns in one of these.

If you have lots of AR stuff this is a great deal
I am returning this case because it is far larger than my needs, which I feel badly about. My disappointment is doubled because it is a very well made case and inexpensive. I should have looked at the dimensions more carefully. On the other hand it is a 5 Star case for someone else with greater space needs than my own. It has two locking holes at the handle which is a lot better than 4 locking holes on the handle side like other cases I have. It has 4 easy to use snap fasteners. If traveling on an aircraft and you need room for an AR with scope, ammo, and other stuff this might be the case for you. This also makes for a great safe storage case out of the reach of children.Amazon used to carry cases that were more like >40-38" x 8" x 4", but I can't find them. Smaller cases are better for me because I put them into a large duffle bag. It is only common sense to not advertise the carrying of a fire arm and have it snatched at the airport. A smaller case also makes sense if carrying the shorter carbines or take down rifles. TSA sometimes gets annoyed at the duffle bag when they inspect it, but if people cannot see it ....they don't get strange thoughts. It also avoids some baggage handler getting ideas as well.

Fits an AR15 nicely. Not the sturdiest case but it works fine. Looks good
I bought a cheap $20 case from the local sporting goods store for my AR15. It seemed to work until I put optics on it.This case is wide enough to fit an AR15 with a 16" barrel that has relatively large optics on top. That is without collapsing the stock. If you collapse the stock you could easily fit an AR with an 18" barrel or maybe even a 20" barrel. (I don't have one to test this with) This case is also a little higher quality than the $20 case I bought originally. The case comes with plastic pieces you can use to section off the inside of the case for magazines or something. I chose not to do this. I stick mags wherever I feel like putting them and that works fine for me.There are no cutouts in the foam. It holds the rifle in place because it presses the 2 sides together. (which keeps the rifle in place quite well)The plastic is thick enough for the case to be useful but you have to line it up when you close it. The plastic flexes and the latches may not line up unless you are careful. It is not a big deal but every time you close it you are reminded that you didn't buy that $200 fancy waterproof case with wheels. For the price I paid, I am very happy. It is much nicer than my original rifle case and it is the perfect shape and size for an AR. (In fact, based on the name 6500AR I think it was designed to be an AR case) It is not hard to close the case, you just have to force the latches to line up.You can put 4 locks on this case if you like and there are 4 plastic latches on the front. This will last me a while and if I need another I will probably upgrade to the super fancy waterproof case with cutout foam and wheels. That will cost 5-6 times what this case set me back though. For the price, it does a nice job.

Canโt beat it for the price
For the price this thing is perfect. Itโs not a pelican by any means but it is sturdy enough. Thereโs four clips keeping it shut and sturdy. Itโs plenty of room for a rifle with sights. I actually put the macaroni conversion kit in there and it shut. A little snug normally wouldnโt carry it in the case to be honest but did it for the review. Two pistols clearly fit. The straps are adjustable you can position them in a few places to meet your needs. I didnโt care much for the corner box. Put it in just for kicks I guess. Itโs nice for smaller parts maybe tools. Donโt expect it to be a safe. But itโs a lockable Carry case that is plenty sturdy. It gets the job done. Would I take it on a crazy camping trip expecting it to be weatherproof? Absolutely not. Although it prob hold up alright. Itโs definitely not waterproof though. For the car and for the range itโs perfect. I showed this to a couple buddies and they couldnโt believe what I payed for it. Very happy! Oh comes with sweet sticker too.

Much better than expected
I bought this as a low cost case for my son's trap gun. My thought was I could fit the gun in the case broke down and also a couple boxes of shells and maybe a few other items he would need at practice or a meet. It all fit plus some extra room for expansion. Case showed up in great shape no damage from shipping, checked the four latches all good to go. Comes with egg crate style foam, four divider brackets, four Velcro straps, (thought it only came with two, nice surprise) and enough screws for the brackets and straps. the brackets and straps can be configured in a number of ways. The foam is slits in multiples places for the straps to go thru and the four corners of the foam is perforated for easy removal if needed.Case was hard to close when gun was fist put in. I outlined the receiver, four grip, and barrel with a sharpie and then removed foam in these areas to give it more of a fitted area to sit in. this greatly improved both the way the gun sits in the case and the way it closes. My only real concern with this case is how it holds up over time, and how well the latches hold up in the winter. living in the Midwest and Trap being a spring sport team practices start in January. It gets pretty darn cold on a trap range in the winter.

Quality AR case. A great buy!
Another terrific Flambeau case. I have several others for bolt action rifles. As for this case, it is what I expected (quality at a fair price). When closed, the foam does an excellent job cradling the firearm. As you can see in the picture, there is plenty of room to accommodate my 38" AR-15. Besides the bipod, one can easily fit several magazines (there are some dividers that came with the case as seen in other reviews that I won't be using). There are six padlock holes to secure the case (one at each corner and one at each side of the handle. I don't think I'd take this on an airplane but definitely for the short/long haul in a car/van/SUV (this does fit in the trunk of a mid-size sedan). It's a well built case that can take some adventure. This is a no brainer purchase if you're looking for a hard case for your AR. IMO, useable space inside is 38.5" x 11.5" when the case is closed.UPDATE - 11 months later: This case has taken a quasi-beating and has held up very well. It's as good as new. Definitely a great value.

Definitely recommend!
This is an excellent value for the price! My one and only (minor) issue is the latches sometimes don't line up immediately, and it takes just a little adjustment to line up; again, very minor. Other than that I couldn't be happier. Very solid, and will hold up nice to any abuse. The foam inserts hold everything nice and snug, and the foam was easy to work with to fit in the compartmentalized sections. The strap system works great, as well as the ability to customize where everything fits in. I purchased the 6500 and am able to fit an AR, sidearm, ammo and magazines for both, as well as some small boxes containing tools/extra parts.I also want to add that I contacted this company directly with a question and an interest in extra parts for customization and they have top notch customer service. Quick to respond, polite, friendly, accommodating, and would recommend doing business with them based on that fact alone.

Worth it!
I've had my Panzer AR-12 for a few months and haven't taken to the range yet for two reasons one Slug ammo is Soo expensive now and that All your allowed to shoot at the range. And because I live in a metropolitan area I hadn't just go in my backyard and cut loose. And the second reason was I didn't have a carry case for my shotgun. And I ran across this SO glad I did as I had purchased different soft case, that ended up returned because they weren't sturdy enough especially with optic on. This case definitely for the $$ is a Great value and I feel it will last a long time with care for trios back and forth to the Range. Bonus!! As you can see from the pic the dividers that come with it are coated with an anticorrosion polymer that lasts 5 Years!! To protect your investment from corrosion and my 19 round magazines snug into them nicely. Also I want aware that it came with(4) straps that screw to the case and slips through precut openings to secure your "Tool"๐ฅ. You simply Can't beat this case in this price point. Exactly as Everyone previously has stated .โญโญโญโญโญ

What's not to like
I ordered this Flambeau case (sold by outdoor adventure) after a friend bought one and I saw how much storage capacity was provided. I wanted a case to carry 2 x .22lr scoped bolt action rifles (16" barrel) and they just about fit with some length to spare. The case will also fit 1 x .22lr scoped rifle and a .22 semi auto. For this reason I haven't used the dividers. The case is pretty solid with the lid closed and is a good compromise between overall weight and regigity. Plenty of locking points (6) if thats what you need. IMHO this is a good quality product for a good price that can easily carry an AR style aswell as many more options so what's not to like.

The best bang for the buck rifle case!
Fantastic product quality and overall value, considering the price paid. This was meant to house a rifle-length AR-15 with an RDS, and this is the perfect size. Although I have not separated or compartmentalized the foam inside, it is nice to know that I can do so, especially in the event that I change to a different rifle system; perhaps something with a carbine-length gas system. I highly recommend this case for storage and transport purposes, and to ensure compliance with Canadaโs rules and regulations for restricted firearms.

Fits HW100BP with Night Vision Scope. Excellent.
My HW100BP fitted with my night vision scope fits perfectly. I'd been looking for case and found this. Reasonable price, looks to be well made even though it's made from a type of plastic and I must say a very fast delivery. The foam is slightly pre cut to allow you to fit the compartments provided complete with instructions and straps to secure your rifle.I'm very pleased with this case and will be ordering a second one for my HW110.The only negative comment in my opinion is that the straps could be longer especially if you use them for a Bull Pup rifle.I'm very pleased with the case.

Good quality
Bought this for my GSG-15 and it fits like it was made for it. I have the magazines in the case and a red dot on the gun and still have room for more things, the straps can be moved to different spots inside and are great for holding the gun in place.
