Quick Rolled Oats - Bulk 50 Pound Bag

The product is of high quality, and has a rich full flavor.Delivery was unexpectedly fast.The only negative I would like to see addressed is that the product is packed in a heavy paper sack. While this may be commonplace, a significant improvement would be to have an inner liner of a heavy weight, food grade, plastic bag that can be sealed after each time you open the bag. Could be either a zip-lock bag or a twist tie closure... doesn't make any difference... just need a practical way to preserve the freshness of the product and keep the bugs out of it.This is a health and spoilage issue... 50#'s of oatmeal is a lot of product and needs to either be repackaged by the consumer in small food grade bags or containers (very expensive and hard to find}. I am a single senior who likes to buy staple goods in bulk to save money and provide food security. Long term storage is a big issue with people like me.Thom (Missouri)

Strongly agree with the other reviewer that there's an odd taste/odor to these - it's like getting your nose over and then eating oats mixed with play dough. The consistency is also extremely mushy, even for quick oats. I'd like to think to myself that it's just a matter of oats grown in extremely clay-rich soil or something, but I've eaten oats for years from a lot of different brands/markets, and I've never tasted any difference anywhere near this notable, nor unpleasant. Bottom line, it tastes like I'm eating a high concentration of a chemical.I'd like to recycle these as compost material, but I'd be concerned they might kill the worms.

Arrived quickly and in good condition w no tears in the bag. The oats themselves were very small & broken as compared to the larger more complete Walmart Great Value oats (see picture). Will not buy again.

This is an amazing deal for how much oatmeal you get. Do not underestimate how much 50 pounds of quick oats is going to look like. It's a giant bag... When you open that box, you will probably laugh at yourself for being so excessive... However, if you're like me and you have a family that eats oatmeal every morning, you'll probably get through it in a few months. I recommend buying some food storage buckets to keep it fresh and prevent the bugs from getting in. The product quality itself is really good, but not "wow" good. There is a slightly odd aftertaste, but I barely notice it and I have a strong sense of taste and smell. Their customer service is awesome! My first bag was ripped and spilled upon delivery, and they took good care of me to replace it.

I’m on my second 50 pound bag (I use a vitamix to blend milk, oats, banana, honey, protein several times a day – it makes up a majority of my daily calories).It’s roughly the same price as oatmeal at stores, but it wins in my opinion in taste and quality. Those are subjective opinions obviously. I’ve tried to replace it with other local store quick oats, and the quality was much lower.I prefer the quick oats (I do strength training), but the regular oats break down slower and will keep you feeling full for longer.

As an Australian living in USA I was shocked at the high price of oats in the supermarkets here. This drove me to search for a more cost effective means of getting my morning fix. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase some sealable containers so the oats wouldnt spoil. I purchased this product and it arrived very quickly and was exactly as described...already enjoying these oats for breaky every morning. Thanks.

I'm happy with the quality of the product and the price. Like the other reviewer, I would prefer if there was a plastic liner to preserve freshness. However, I will continue to buy this product regardless as it is quality oatmeal at a good price.Edit: I'm on my 4th bag, quality continues to be high.
