Cooling effect and waterproof, clean up is a breeze

I have 5 children and I recently invested in a new mattress for myself. Before anyone could be on the bed IT HAD TO BE PROTECTED. This product has lived up to all that I could expect of it AND it comes with a TRIAL PERIOD.Important things that I wanted to know before buying: 1) It does NOT make crinkly sounds when you move around -- I do not notice it beneath my fitted sheet 2) It fits snugly (no wrinkles/bunching) around my 12" mattress. It also fit my old 9" mattress well 3) The fitted elastic keeps the protector securely in place 4) It is breathable -- it doesn't have a cooling effect, but it doesn't make you sweat 5) It is waterproof. The bamboo top layer is very absorbent and it wraps about 1" around the edges of my pillow-top mattress. I am unable to rate sidewall protection. 6) It is machine washable and dry-able. I washed separately before 1st use in front loading machines with 1 tablespoon of mild detergent and NO FABRIC SOFTENER. I tumble dried on LOW HEAT with NO DRYER SHEETS just until dry (do not over-dry).The reason for 4 stars is about customer service. It was difficult to register the product with the seller. The product came with a card asking to email the registration for the warranty within 10 days in order to receive a free gift. First, I contacted the seller through Amazon's message center, but seller said to email directly. I made 4+ attempts in 10 days, but no response. I contacted again through Amazon. The seller said my product is registered, but didn't mention the gift. I do not believe that I will experience a problem with this product, but I am not confident that I will receive a response should I need to act on the warranty.

With a toddler that likes to sleep in mums bed and a sweaty husband, these mattress projectors have saved us MANY times! Started out with a queen size and immediately bought a king when we moved... I actually have two of them as you never know with a little one when you'll need to swap bedding in the middle of the night. Leaky diaper, kiddo with a stomach bug, husband sneaking snacks in bed and never had anything leak though! Great protection from wetness and stains. I personally love that it doesn't make noise like many other mattress protectors!

I bought the bamboo textured upgraded model, yet ultimately, it feels like a layer of a quality plastic rather than a soft cloth. It's advertised as breathable, but it definitely traps in excess heat. Deducting 2 stars.The remaining 3 stars are owed because it fits my 14" mattress well, and it holds flat without bunching even when tossing and turning. I'm assuming it is a satisfactory barrier to liquids, but I haven't tested it.

I can attest that this mattress pad is indeed waterproof as my toddler had an accident in bed on day 3 of using it. 0% liquid made it to the mattress and it seemed to wick most of the moisture away from the cotton sheet. Soft mattress pad and no crunchy plastic sound whatsoever. Deep pockets. Would recommend

This was very good purchase fits the bill does as it’s suppose to good material doesn’t make any scratchy noise and isn’t uncomfortable under the sheets.

The word "cooling" is misleading. It doesn't make you any hotter (i.e. doesn't retain body heat as one I used to have did) but it doesn't cool. My only downside is I waited forever for it to be shipped. I could have cancelled the order and ordered something else, but the description really had me believe it was more than what I got. But it fits the mattress well, and you don't notice it is on the bed (e.g. doesn't bunch up like sheets can do) and because of the underside I presume it is waterproof as advertised. Definitely an improvement over one I purchased a few years ago and ended up throwing out.
