MediTemp Universal Hot/Cold Therapy Pad, Large, 1 Count

I spent quite a bit of time researching to find the right cold pack for injuries to my arms and knees. I took a chance on this one, and I absolutely love it! It's pliable within several minutes of being out of the freezer, stays cold for a very long time (at least 30-40 minutes or more, usually), it's big enough to fit around my whole elbow or knee, and best of all, the velcro straps are very sturdy and can create as tight a fit as I need. The only issue I had was with a small tear in the white fabric that appeared after a few weeks' use. I called the company, and they told me they will send a new sleeve right out to me, which was great. I would highly recommend this product.

I love these Medi-Temp Ice/Hot packs. I have used numerous others over the years, and these are, IMHO, far and away the best. I have used them for over twenty years, always keep three of them in my freezer. At times I use them almost every day, lower back, mid back, and neck. I have also used them on knee, shoulder, hip, thigh, elbow (great on elbow), etc. I have arthritis, joint problems, "bad back" and terrible neck,and also sometimes sore muscles from working out, which I do 5 times/wk to fight arthritis pain. The cold pack function (which is mostly what I use), helps my pain level TREMENDOUSLY.Also, they last for YEARS, even under daily use. I highly recommend this product, and especially over other gel packs that I have tried. The Large size one is, to me, the most useful.

I keep four of these in the freezer. The large is the perfect size and the Velcro straps are handy for joints.

I bought 2 total. One for Cold and the other for Heat. It keeps cold a long time. I recommend putting a dish towel or similiar on the skin as it gets really cold even when in the pouch provided. The heat part not so much, I microwave it for 2 minutes and 30 seconds and the edges get hot and a little warm in the middle and that is with me flattening it in the microwave. I'm afraid to over heat as I don't want the pack to burst in the microwave. There are also instructions to boil it, I may try that and see if the heat stays better.

I have purchased three of these. One each I gave to my parents and in-laws and one for myself. I had ligament reconstruction done a few years ago, and at time I used to get little swelling if I exhaust myself much. I found this product so very helpful at very reasonable price. This product is often OoS at local pharmacy, therefore getting it from Amazon is the best.

I have 4 different types of cold therapy packs... including the cooling therapy pump tank. THIS pad is the only one that is able to be heated as well as cooled.... just the last day or so, I tried the heat setting.. microwave 30 seconds at a time, checking the temp.. the instructions are written on the gel pack... I found the hot therapy to be effective for my cervical radiculopathy and nerve compression....this , for me, is an all day and evening process, and I mix the heat in with the cold, whatever it takes for a small amount of relief. I recommend this pad.. it's versatile and well made.

I really wish these ice packs lasted. Why can’t they update the covering? They are expensive and after a few uses, they have to go in a ziplock bad. I use them gently. Once I found so much gel in the bed when I woke up, it ruined my sheets. I have bought them 5x. I don’t know why they can’t upgrade the cover.
