Expensive way to satisfy my "cable OCD" in my attic at home
These are primarily made for install in commercial spaces to hold communications and control wiring and/or optical fibers. I guess I am sort of a "neat freak" about cabling and I bought some to put up in my attic at home to run coaxial cables and CAT6 ethernet cabling. They are very sturdy and easy to mount on the rafter studs with just a single screw. I have added new cables and re-routed existing ones easily through these brackets. There are probably more low-cost alternatives to these type of cable supports, but this is what I am used to having installed at my workplace so I just went with what I knew would work for the task.

Excellent for running cable in an attic
I used these to when retrofitting a lot of new CAT6 drops into my home. Rather than laying the cables on top of the insulation in my attic, I attached these brackets to all of the attic studs/trusses to create nice routes for the cables to run overhead in the attic space. I have much less concern now about people accidentally stepping on / damaging the cables in the attic if we need work done up there in the future.I had to spend a lot of time planning out the ideal cable routes in the attic and then and screwing these brackets into appropriate locations, but once that was done it made installing the actual cable much faster and yielded a clean well-organized result. The pins are easy to install but have good retention, and they're able to spin on their axis which makes them sort of act like a roller when pulling cable. The edges of the brackets are curved away from the inner surface and didn't snag or cut into my cables.I used almost all of the 50 pack of 2" hooks that I'd ordered, which surprised me... I didn't think I'd need so many, but I did! Good buy.

Sturdy and work well
I was a little wary of these due to price - I was looking for something quick and cheap to mount some cable. I tried quite a few cheaper cable-mounts for running cat-6 and sprinkler cable, but finally broke down and got these since the cheaper mounts did not work well due to flimsy metal or odd mounting or poor cable seating. After running these, I wish that I had started with these. The screw hole is placed well, such that the hook does not block the screwdriver. The snap-in holding bar works great, holding the cable in place once installed, but also easy to insert in or remove (you push the metal J-hook out and pop the bar into the two holes in the metal). The metal is thick, just flexible enough to pop-in the bar but not so flimsy that the bar would pop out on its own. I can't comment on rust if they were used outside, but for indoor running of cable between joists in an enclosed area, they seem ideal now that I have tried a few alternatives.

Better than higher priced competitors
For what they are, I have always found J-hooks to be overpriced, then I found these, I was kind of skeptical at them being less than 1/2 the price of the other ones I have always used, but I was pleasantly surprised by their quality and strength. Another night thing is that instead of the plastic clips that like to break, these use a metal bar. My only complaint is that I had to give several of them a slight tap with a hummer so that the bar would stay in place. These will now be my go to J-Hook.

Great value and easy for mounting on wood
These are very well made and worked great for holding a bundle of around 20 CAT6 and RG6 runs in my attic with room to spare. They were easy to mount on the trusses, but unfortunately don’t come with screws. These do come with the retainer bar, like what’s noted in the description. When I first opened the box, I didn’t think they were included, but they were buried in there. You’ll have to dig around to find them.On a similar note, each of the bars are individually bagged for some reason. A complete waste of plastic and is quite annoying to open each when the hooks themselves are not packaged at all.Overall, these are a great value and much cheaper than other similar hooks.

Does the job nicely
Using these for hanging network cables high up on walls in an open garage-type environment. Easy to screw into walls, add wires, then snap in the pin. Easy to remove the pin and add or remove wires, then replace pin. But, wear gloves! These things have sharp edges! Also the pins are easy to lose, and I'm not sure if the kit came with extras but that would be nice.

J-Hook is okay, however product advertisement might me misleading....
Didn't received the " Includes snap in retainer bar " as promised within the Product Listing. I'm very disappointed since I will need to find and install nails to compensate for the missing Retainer Bar, that's actually why I choose to order this product because it had this feature but didn't came with it.
