That's my favorite line from this book! Adore the expressions on the unicorn that go perfectly with the action and add one of the secret sauces of children's books - anticipation with excitement to turn the page! The illustration style is clean, crisp and open with bold cartoon lines that provide the perfect drop cloth for adding bright splashes of color and text as the story progresses. I was left wondering how the story got from mess to dress, but I have not read the previous books so maybe I missed out on the continuity. I want to read them all now! The flavor is decidedly 'girly' with princess dresses, unicorns and tea parties, but having raised a daughter, it's a treat to have this type of book to indulge in - in a special cozy nook! Fun for all! (PS I do know little boys who like dress up, unicorns and tea parties, so no stereotyping intended!) I reviewed this book voluntarily and received no compensation in return.

I'm an elementary teacher, so I'm always on the look out for new read alouds. It seems all teachers have the same books, so I try to avoid using ones I know the students have read over and over. I came across the author's other books when our class celebrated Scribble Day. I am in love with all of her books!Never Let a Princes Paint with Her Unicorn does not disappoint. It is another great book in the unicorn/princess series. It is fun, light-hearted, magical, and just fun. The students in my class have loved reading all the other books in the series. I can't wait to read this one with them. I know it will be another hit!

Diane Alber books never disappoint. My granddaughter and I read a different one every night, she loves them. The little girl in them is adorable.
