A true revelation
All of us have our personal realization of the Eucharist. Mine has been as the result of years of growth born through the kindness and grace of our Savior Jesus. This book He led me to by a person I most likely would never have met. I am so grateful for this gift . You will discover a new and immense treasure of understanding our Lord's intentions for us all in the miracle of the Eucharist. I won't attempt to describe what you will discover here, it is for each individual according to your needs. Jesus knows and will gift you what will bring you to a most intimate relationship with Him in the Eucharist. After reading the book I know I have really only begun to learn what He has for me. Read for yourselves and be ready to be amazed.

How to Become More Like Who You Receive
I read this book as part of a thematic treatment of how Catholics have viewed the Eucharist in the last 55 years, and how things have changed and how they have not. I first read Fr. Lovasik's catholics and the Eucharist, published in 1960. It is a valuable book, in that it is full of quotes from the Council of Trent and basically is a go-to reference one could use if one needed to cite dogmatic sources about the Eucharist.Vinny Flynn's book treats the same subject, but generally refers to documents promulgated after Vatican II as well as citations from St. Faustina's Diary. I especially valued however, how he uses references to Fatima, the Council of Trent, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Bible verses and quotations from the Saints to illustrate his points. He also is honest in admitting his shortcomings in understanding the Mass (he was talking about me, here also), what time is in relation to the Eucharist, and how our reception of the Eucharist is affected by our attitude. The secret dealing with sacramental and spiritual reception of Christ put a whole new dimension to how to use a spiritual communion to stay in His Presence. This was news to me! The Notes, Sources and References in the back also are god places for further reading.I am amazed that Fr. Lovasik seemed to be dealing with people who thought they were fulfilling God's commands by receiving the Eucharist monthly, and wanted them to receive at least weekly. Maybe the world was not in as bad a shape as it is now, after all, 1960 was when the Third Secret of Fatima was supposed to be revealed, and that didn't happen. However, Vinny's book is similar in that he pleads for more frequent reception of the Eucharist, not only to love God more, but to participate in His Life as well as to hunger for more of It. I think it succeeds in helping us be more excited about the Mass, God's plan for us and His Life He wants us to share with us, as well as inspiring us to share with others.

Will Increase Devotion to the Eucharist
I admit it. I don't think about the Eucharist as much as I should. I value it immensely, and know the strength it gives, but I do tend to take it for granted sometimes. Vinny Flynn's "7 Secrets of the Eucharist" helps readers to once again be amazed by the mystery of the Eucharist. While no one can fully understand the Eucharist, Flynn uses Scripture, "The Catechism of the Catholic Church", certain Church documents, and the Diary of St. Faustina to help explain it as much as possible. St. Faustina, best known for her role in spreading devotion to Divine Mercy, was also deeply dedicated to the Eucharist and refers to it often in her writings.Flynn is adamant that there are far more than seven secrets of the Eucharist. Also, these aren't really secrets. As he puts it, "I call them secrets because, for some reason, they don't seem to have been passed on to the average lay person in a way that would enable us to really understand them and incorporate them into our daily lives." The secrets are 1) The Eucharist is Alive, 2) Christ is not alone, 3) There is only one Mass, 4) The Eucharist is not just one miracle, 5)We don't just receive, 6) Every reception is different, and 7) There's no limit to the number of times we can receive (for those of you who are saying "yes, there is!" he is talking about spiritual communion in this section)."7 Secrets of the Eucharist" is a very valuable little book. The Eucharist is the greatest gift Jesus gave us - his very self. This book provides complex information about this sacrament in a highly readable format. More importantly, it will increase belief and devotion to the Eucharist.

A Real Life Changing Discovery of The Eucharist
I was raised a cradle Catholic attending Catholic grade school, high school, and university. With all that rich exposure to our faith I never developed the full appreciation of how very special the gift of the Holy Eucharist is for us. God loves us unconditionally as we are and not as we should be. He longs to be in communion with us but He will not force Himself on us. We must invite Him into our hearts. This wonderful book made me realize for the first time that through the sacrament of Holy Communion we receive Jesus Christ and God The Father and The Holy Spirit, the Most Holy Trinity at the same instant. This book will make you fully realize how very important the Holy Eucharist really is. A great heart warming read.

The book is quite useful for preparing talks on the Holy Eucharist
This is a book for the beginners, in a sense. But, for the specialists on the Eucharistic theology, this book provides themes for reflection and meditation. The book is quite useful for preparing talks on the Holy Eucharist. The seven secrets are not the only secrets of the Holy Eucharist as the author himself concedes. The knowledge of the Eucharist is the work of the Holy Spirit, as I think. And the author is a privileged person in that sense. I wish if he could venture on writing a book on the steps in the growth of the life in the Eucharist. May the Sacred Heart bless him!

It is easy to take the Eucharist for granted in our busy ...
This book opened the Eucharist to me in a rich way. A friend lent it to me and then I had to have my own copy. It is easy to take the Eucharist for granted in our busy world, but not after reading this. The book is a very easy read and the concepts and imagery stick. Be prepared - your next Eucharist may not be the same after you read this!
