It’s good that they fit most/all hiking poles.But I thought that I could use them on all types of ground they do not grip/ give on hard ground. (Going up hill on frozen/ hard ground)

These are great for your walking poles, much more robust than most, and you get two pairs. They are better than the usual heavy duty 'foot' style ferrules as they are symmetrical, so don't spin round at awkward angles. I always warm them in hot water first so they slip on more easily.
