Fun & Addicting
The Vincent Brothers was fun, addicting, had swoon worthy males and females who I wanted to be bffs with! So I easily found myself glued to the pages and enjoying yet another Abbi Glines book! In the first chapter, we jump ahead 6 months from the end of The Vincent Boys. So if you haven't read The Vincent Boys first, I highly recommend you do! This time we got to follow Lana, who is Ash's cousin, and Sawyer. Their journey was hot, beyond adorable, and at times awkward, which made it feel even more real.So when we met Lana previously, she was sweet but also very innocent. And it seemed like she didn't really care about her hair, makeup or even clothes. But that's all changed. Lana went and gave herself a makeover, and she had a mission. Get Sawyer. You see, she had been crushing on him forever. And now Lana finally got Sawyer's attention! Yet, it wasn't all directed at her since Sawyer was still hung up on her cousin, Ash. I definitely felt her frustration and heart ache at times. But she was so relatable, even though I've never been in her shoes. She was down to earth, had a good heart and struggled with some family drama. So I was rooting for Lana to completely win Sawyer over.Oh Sawyer. In The Vincent Boys, we saw good boy Sawyer. But that boy was now hidden away by heartache, so we got to see heartbroken Sawyer, drunk Sawyer, sexy Sayer, and make stupid choices Sawyer lol. While he annoyed me a time or few, since he was still hung up on Ashton, I still loved him. I understood that he was grieving the loss of someone who he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with. And it's not like she went away. She was with his brother. So while this made him somewhat tortured, he let out his inner bad boy. And that's kinda my favorite thing (tortured and bad boy). So Sawyer started reminding me an awful lot of Beau. He was possessive, jealous, direct and to the point with what he wanted and how he wanted it. He was sexy and seductive, and he physically reminded Lana how much he wanted her. I found the wakeboarding scene SO hot! Sawyer was so much more than I ever thought he could be!While they had this strong sexual attraction between the two of them, they were also discovering many firsts. Which you must read about *grins hugely*! But the story also dealt with friendship, and I'm not just talking about Sawyer and Lana. I loved how Lana and Ash and also Sawyer and Beau worked on their friendships as the story progressed. So if you're looking for a fun summer read, then I can't recommend these two books enough! The storyline and characters were such a blast! And when I finished, I realized I definitely need to devour more of Abbi Glines' books!

it's a great series and I really recommend it
I have to say I was really impressed - After reading about Beau and Ashton's story, I thought the second story wouldn't be that good - I don't know why I thought that, because I was totally wrong.Sawyer's story is Great! I loved it!In the last book we saw Sawyer as not a very nice guy. He didn't put Ashton's needs first, didn't do anything about making her not happy with her new attitude, and practically took her away from Beau without talking to Beau first and making things crazy between the two that were really meant to be together..This book takes place 6 months later, and Sawyer still can't let her go. Sure he stood aside and gave them both his blessing, but it didn't mean it didn't hurt still. He tried to avoid them being together as much as possible - but he did want to try to move on.After a few heated words with Beau at the field's party, Sawyer, Ethan and Jake took off to go get something to eat. Instead of heading close to a local restaurant, Sawyer headed to the nearest town..Lana - She is Ash's cousin. She stayed with her last summer when her parent's were going through a difficult time. Now her parents were officially divorced. She couldn't get over Sawyer while she was back home. and now that everyone is graduated from High school, she has arranged to spend her last Summer with Ashton before they head their separate ways off to College.Lana had gotten herself a make over. She is no longer looking like the little mouse she did last summer. She got her hair cut, a whole new wardrobe, and now wears make up.Her friend Jewl was giving her a ride to her cousin's house before heading to her beach house where her stepfather lived.THey stopped at Wings to get a bite to eat, just outside the small town of Alabama that her cousin lived in.When Sawyer walked in Wings with his friend, he tried flirting with the hostess a little, but after hearing her giggle, he quickly turned the other way. Ash didn't giggle, he hated giggling. As they walked to the table, he noticed the girl at the bar with the long legs and dark red hair. He didn't think she'd giggle, when Ethan said something to Sawyer loudly, the girl turned her head around, and he really liked what he saw.He started walking towards their table, when she called out to him. That's when he recognized her. Lana - Ashton's cousin. He asked her and her friend Jewel to sit with them. Jewel was the total opposite as Lana. She was beautiful, fun and flirted with everyone. As the seats were arranged in the booth, Lana found herself sitting next to Ethan, and Jewel was seated between Jake and Sawyer. She wasn't happy about the way Jewel was flirting with Sawyer. She loved her friend, but she was anxious to get to Ash's house and have her friend be on her way to the beach.Ethan seemed to like Lana though. He was really sweet. So sweet it about drove Sawyer nuts. He couldn't keep Jewel's hands off his thigh, and his eyes off Lana - he couldn't believe that this was the same girl that was here just 6 months ago.SO they left - Sawyer had offered to bring Lana home so Jewel could be on her way to the beach. Lana was excited about that.He dropped of Jake and Ethan back at their trucks and took Lana to Ashton's house. On the way, Lana asked how things were between the three of them. She knew he wouldn't be over Ash, but she had hoped things were ok.But Sawyer still saw Lana as a girl that helped Ash and Beau out in the field last Summer when she lied for her.The rest of the ride was quiet until they got to the house...... "She's an idiot... for what it's worth," I couldn't believe I'd just said that.Sawyer swung his attention back to me. "You think so?"I nodded.Sawyer took a step closer to me... "You think I'm a better choice than Beau? Hes' the bad one, the Dangerous one. Girls like bad boys." he took another step closer. his eyes never leaving their study of my lips.Forcing myself to remain calm, I responded, "Not all girls.""hummm.."He raised his hand and gently ran the pad of his thumb over my bottom lip "they're as soft as they look... maybe softer," he whispered, then he lowered his head and before I could take a calming breath his mouth was on mine. The relationship between Lana and Sawyer heated up pretty quickly. This is a new Sawyer. not the same polite and easy going Sawyer we knew from the last book. This Sawyer is tired of being hurt, and for some reason he couldn't explain, Lana made him forget about Ash, and he felt a powerful draw to Lana. He acted like a teenage guy in Lust should. And it was great getting to know him :)Loved this book - it's a great series and I really recommend it. I don't think it's a "young adult" book though... But it's still going on my favorite shelf :)

Amazing
I brought book one from a pound shop! I'm not really into teenage romance, but this book was amazing! Beau being a bad boy and sawyer being the nice guy but twists and turns made the good girl run off with the bad boy, but Beau isn't a bad guy like everyone thinks. Book 2 well, sawyer finally found his true love. I laughed and cried throughout both books. In all.It was amazing, got well into the story, so I had no choice but to buy the second, and wow I loved every bit of the book. Teen love stories are great.. Abbi Glines is amazing. Her writing is well worth every penny. I had to buy all her books. 🙈

The Vincent Brothers
I read The Vincent Brothers as soon as I finished The Vincent Boys. I rarely do that with a series - I usually like a break between instalments - but I just had to read this one. They're addictive! These books made me want to read again after a relatively long time since I'd read anything. I'm grateful to Abbi Glines and her swoonworthy romances for that!I didn't like this second book quite as much as the first, but it was still a good read. It focuses on Sawyer rather than Beau, and Ash's cousin Lana who briefly appears in The Vincent Boys. I liked getting to know them more, though I thought Sawyer's personality changed quite drastically from book to book. He was more angry and tough-guy aggressive in this one which is completely different to how he was before. I'm sure it's all down to character growth but it just seemed out of place.Lana was a good female lead in a way that kept me reading and wanting to know what would happen to her. I didn't think she was as strong a character as Ash, but I didn't really expect that and wasn't disappointed at all. I also loved getting to see glimpses of Beau and Ash and how they were getting on after previous events. And the epilogue made me melt a little bit!The Vincent Brothers is more of the same from Abbi Glines: hot, steamy scenes, believable romance and male characters that will stay in your mind for weeks. If you liked The Vincent Boys and all its New Adult drama, then this book won't fall short. They've just made me very glad I gave in and bought a Kindle!3.5/5

"When you fall for the one that owns you, she'll be the only one that has the power to make you cry."
I want to start off first with a warning, read The Vincent Boys first! There is no way to discuss even a tiny bit of book two without giving away major spoilers for book one. However, even reading the synopsis has spoilers but still wanted to give this warning before going forward. So, it's official. I am in love with Sawyer and Beau Vincent. Really I could just do an entire review about all the different reasons why I love them and trust me there would be enough reasons to fill an entire review but I will do my best to reign in my swoon and write a coherent, interesting review for you to read... but I make no real promises. The Vincent Brothers picks up just after The Vincent Boys finished. It has only been a couple of months, Ashton and Beau are going strong and Sawyer is still trying to deal with his broken heart. Yes he gave Ashton and Beau his blessing but that doesn't change the fact that he had planned his future around the idea of him being with Ashton. This isn't going to be easy...Enter Lana. We got to meet Lana in book one, she is Ashton's cousin. When we met her she was mousy and timid but now... well she has made some changes in her life. She has completed an entire makeover, new hair, new wardrobe and new attitude. What brought on this change? She knows that Sawyer and Ashton have broken up and she has been in love with Sawyer since they were kids. She wants to get Sawyer to notice her and spending the summer with her cousin Ashton is the best way to get her plan started."Sawyer was always the Vincent boy worth fighting for. He's the special one."There is an attraction from the start and it is obvious that Sawyer likes the changes that Lana has made. She is no longer timid, she speaks her mind, challenges him and he really likes it. Unfortunately Sawyer doesn't start spending time with Lana under the best conditions... he sees her as a 'summer distraction' and even sees it as a way to get under Ashton's skin because he thinks it will make her jealous. Lana knows that Sawyer is not fully over Ashton but she just holds onto the hope that he will finally see her, like really 'see' her and fall for her. Even though they are not starting out on the same page and at the start their feelings toward each other are different... it doesn't stop their interactions from being hot. And I mean holy cow... it's steamy! These two are on fire when they are together."Adjusting to Beau being a caveman over a girl had been almost as hard as seeing him with Ash. Beau didn't do jealous, not until Ashton had become his. Now he was a freaking lunatic."I also loved how much Beau and Ashton time we got in this book. Even though it is no longer told from their point of views it was wonderful to see their relationship continuing in the background. It was also lovely to get to know Sawyer more, he wasn't in book one for long and at that stage you are so hoping for Beau and Ashton's happy ever after that you really aren't rooting for him at all. So it was nice to get to know him and then push him on as he goes after his own happy ending. I really did end up loving Sawyer and his and Beau's relationship is something special. They have been through so much."He made himself and what he made is one damn fine man. I am so proud to call him my brother I am bursting with it when I see him."And what an ending... No don't worry there is no dreaded cliffhanger as everything is nicely tied up in a perfect sparkly bow. I was in tears by the end... it really was just wonderful how everything came together. In actuality I fell in love with these characters and even though I am more than happy with the way it all concluded I am also sad that their stories are over. Would love to be able to have a bit more of the Vincent boys."When I'm with you, my world is complete. When I touch you, I understand the meaning of life. When I lost you, I completely shattered. You. Own. Me."ChristineRainy Day Reads

Made me blush, broke my heart and hopes only to mend them the very next instant
Upon finishing The Vincent Boys I thought I had it all figured out. Beau was the bad boy with a kind heart, when you dug deep enough, and Sawyer was the saint all parents would push their 18-or-over daughters towards somewhat willingly (mine included). Then I read The Vincent Brothers. I had to momentarily pause and double check I had got things right the first time, because now things were most certainly not adding up.In an unexpected turn of events, Beau remained the bad ass brother with, finally, his good side on display; whilst Sawyer showed me the darker edge of his personality that I honestly thought he could not possibly possess. What's more, who better to bring this out in him if not the shy, quiet and almost invisible at times Lana McDaniel. You would have thought that too saintly creatures would bring further goodness and peace to each other. Think again! Lana and Sawyer are like two chemicals that once together consume each other whilst sparks fly. And I can assure you that there most certainly were fireworks.I most certainly did not expect any of this and several more twists Abbi Glines had up her sleeve.I confess that when I read The Vincent Boys, I was without a shadow of doubt a Beau girl. I had nothing against Sawyer but perceived him a little bit like a doormat, whilst I like a little excitement. That and I would generally not go for someone my mother would pick for me ie Sawyer. But now that I've read The Vincent Brothers I take it all back and admit that I was most definitely wrong, and that maybe actually what it takes is the right girl and the right boy, to get the right combination. I think I would very very happily settle for either or both Vincent Brothers, whilst I can just picture my mother attempting to drag me away from both of them having realised that not everyone is what they appear to be.The Vincent Brothers made me blush, broke my heart and hopes only to mend them the very next instant. It was a rollercoster of emotions that did not disappoint!Abbi Glines outdid herself in this great fast paced sequel. I read it in 6hours flat because I really couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it at 03:34am, at the great annoyance and despair of my parents. I believe their concern is that if this is what reading about them does to me, imagine what will happen should I stumble across a real version of either brother! Abbi Glines has created, and now ended, a lovely series. I shall be returning to read them over and over again. If you liked this I would recommend reading Abbi Glines's "Existence" series. If on the other hand you're looking for another romance YA without a paranormal side to it, I would suggest turning the pages of Katie Klein's "Cross My Heart" and Jamie McGuire's "Beautiful Disaster".

Hot!
(Source: Purchased from Amazon.co.uk on kindle for only 99p!)This is the second book in the Vincent Brothers series - I haven't read the first one, but that didn't really seem to matter, the book can be read as a standalone.Lana is heading to her cousin's house for the summer. She's given herself a makeover, and all in the name of one person - Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer was her cousin Ash's boyfriend for 3 years, but they broke up 6 months ago when Ash dumped Sawyer for his brother Beau. Now Lana has decided that Sawyer has had enough time to get over Ash, and she's going to make her move.Sawyer thinks Lana looks hot when he meets her again after such a long time. He's not interested in a girlfriend, but a summer fling would be nice. Lana isn't interested in a summer fling though, she wants Sawyer 100% or not at all.Can Lana get Sawyer interested? Is Sawyer really over Ash? And can Lana and Sawyer ever be more than a summer fling?I'd heard loads of good things about this book, so when I spotted it for only 99p on kindle I had to have it!The story was nice, if a little cliché, but the best thing about this book was the romance and heat between Lana and Sawyer. Lana and Sawyer together were simply hot! There was no actual sex, but boy did they create some heat between them!I disliked how Sawyer treated Lana at times, he totally ignored her in favour of doing something for Ash, and never told her that all he wanted was a fling, even when he knew that wasn't what she wanted. It really did take a massive kick up the backside to get him to admit his real feelings.I liked the storyline, although like I say it was a bit cliché at times - lots of misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions going on. The way that Lana hid at times also put a bit of a dampener on things, because not much can happen when your two main characters have absolutely no contact.I did enjoy this book overall; purely for the heat between Lana and Sawyer! This was definitely a book that kept me up reading instead of going to sleep!8 out of 10.
