The included tool kit makes the job much easier!
Received it today, due to an expanding battery problem. (You can look that up on the internet, so many reports of this issue). The provided tools made teardown really easy, but a word to the wise: Be careful to not slide any of the tools too far into the unit, only work the outside edges. I now have a pencil dot's worth of bad pixels, not too bad. The provided screwdriver is magnetic, making it really easy to pick up and place the screws for reinsertion. The spungers & plastic wedges were fine. The separation of my case back due to an expanded battery was so severe it made finding playing cards unnecessary, it was easy to gently peel off.I tried the phone without screwing things back to together to make sure it worked or putting the back on. It powered up fine out of the box, 50% charge, but I did have some network(s) connectivity issues. Putting the screws in and putting on the back worked, after apparently needing to do an extra reboot. The metal back may be proving antenna support/functionality. I did not see any instructions or links to instructions, the manufacturer may have a site for that. There are great videos on the internet that walk you through the entire process.

It works at least
This is the third time replacing the battery. The best you can wish for is about 1 year before swelling. Guarantee doesn't mean anything since they change company names and products so fast. The S7 Edge will say it is 3600mAh because that is what it is program to say, I can't say if it is really any larger than that. Adhesive this time, I used binder clips to hold it on for some time to really adher. I have also turned off more apps that were running in the background I never use. Also turned off High performance mode, and fast wireless charging. Those things will cause heat, which train wrecks the battery. To get the most, you have to change habits. I will try and remember to update the status of this in a few months. Also be sure to charge it for a good 24 hours. Many google reads on how to treat a cell so the battery does not get wrecked as quickly. Also, watch the video on youtube about replacing the battery, look for the blue latex gloves, it is the best one!

Be careful removing the back cover!
My current "main" phone is a Motorola G Stylus (2019), however, I wanted to use my old Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as a music player (figured it was time to move past my old iPod Classic with the click wheel). But, before I could do that, I thought it would be best to replace the battery and boy did I dodge a bullet. The old battery (upon removing the cover and reaching it) was SWOLLEN big time and had a really off smell to it. Not surprising since I bought the Edge used several years ago and the battery in it was the same one it had originally. I could tell by this point the old battery needed to be replaced even before discovering how swollen it was because it would barely hold a charge for a few hours even just using it as a music player. As others have stated, be very careful removing the back cover. I had to buy a replacement because I jerked my hand the wrong way when I was trying to slowly pry it off only for the entire back cover to shatter (I was watching the recommended blue gloved tutorial video at the time. Guy made it look easy lol). No worries though since this phone isn't really my main phone anymore anyway, but rather an "Android Touch" music player of sorts.Anyway, upon using the battery for a few months now, I've noticed a difference in performance definitely. I can go nearly 4 days from a full charge to empty before I finally have to charge it back up. Definitely an improvement! Though again, I'm not using my Edge as my "main phone" so I can't say how long it will last with that sort of use. I do know that as a simple media/music player, it's great!

Battery does NOT hold its charge with any reasonable usage of the phone
Very disappointed with this battery for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It is even worse at holding any sort of charge for my phone than the original battery that I was replacing. For example, the charge has gone down from 100% to 75% in only 8 hours where the phone was idle the entire time. The "battery usage" statistics in the phone can't even account for all the battery drainage. The battery was also very complex to change out for this phone and I ended up with several dead pixels in exchange for a very poor quality battery!

So far so good - 3.5 days on idle
The S7 Edge OEM battery lasted for 4 years, and finally needed to replace the battery. Watched the YouTube a few times because attempting to replace it. Everything is included except the playing card and the new glue strip. The install went fine (Be careful with the glass and underlying wireless charging cable), and the back glass was still intact. Took around 20 minutes to replace with a new $4 glue strip.Fully charge and discharge a few times. Seem to be good. The phone is mainly idle but 3.5 days was not bad for a replacement.

Battery had 3200 mAh capacity
After a week of charges my battery app says the battery has a 3200 mAh capacity. It's more than my old dying battery had but still not close to the 3800 mAh the battery claims.
