Pegboard Peg Locks 50PCS (1/4 inch, Black)

Used these on my IKEA peg boards. The board uses slots rather than holes. Even the proprietary pegs/accessories tend to wiggle around in the slots. Added these and the pegs stay put. These are also helpful if you are using multiple pegs to hold accessories and the pegs are just a tad too wide. You can angle the peg a little with these, which makes it easier to remove and replace your tools or whatever you have hanging, without readjusting the pegs on every use. Liked the so much, I ordered more.

Overall I really like this product, they make the usually floppy and prone to falling out pegboard attachments actually stay in place which is very convenient. Ive bought 3 packs so far and one thing that the product really doesnt mention which i thought was notable is 50 pcs might seem like alot, but when you have one standard attachment that has two pegs that go into the board, that means that there are only realistically 25 attachments worth of locks. It also is not the easiest thing in the world to install them. You have to press them fairly strongly with a screwdriver into place. Once they are in though they are very nice and do the job well. I think overall i would give these locks a 7/10 baised on how hard they are to install and that i wish the quantity was a little higher for the price.

Works very well and fits 1/4 melamine peg board great. Quality is good and holds hooks well. A little over priced for what it is but it works.

These work great, they can be a bit difficult to seat properly, but worth the effort. The grove allows hooks to sit closer to the board and do a very good job of keep the hook from moving. This is the second type of lock that I"ve used and so far, it's much better than the previous ones I purchased.

If you have a metal pegboard, you probably need these. They hold pegs in place well and are easy to install and adjust. I am using the heavy pegs so I cannot comment on use with the thinner pegs.

First, the good: These grommets do work as advertised. They prevent pegboard hooks from moving and falling out. IMHO, grommets are an absolute requirement for steel pegboards, which seem to have holes of slightly larger diameter than the wood variety. (Side note: I have found a brand of plastic hooks that are especially tight when installed with grommets.)Now, the not so good: Reusing or repositioning these grommets is challenging, especially if they have been installed for a while. The rubber dries out and gets brittle; so, when removing them from the pegboard, many tear or break apart.Another con is the stingy quantity, making this item stupidly expensive when compared to alternative brands..So, while these grommets work, they do not like to be removed and repositioned which, for me, somewhat defeats the purpose — the beauty of pegboard organization is capability to quickly and easily move items around to accommodate new tools. Given this product is so pricey, I will be motivated to try another brand.

I purchased a set of plier hangers for my 1/4" pegboard and because of their design and the fact that they are 1/8" thick, they would not stay put whenever I removed a tool. None of the varieties of peg locks I had on hand would work, so I considered buying plastic cabinet hole plugs and drilling a hole in the middle to try to solve the problem and then, miraculously, I found these terrific little problem solvers. They fit into the 1/4" holes snugly and then hold the hangers tightly and securely. They work just as well on metal pegboard as they do on hardboard and it's great that they come in two colors. Read the description carefully and choose the right peg lock for your needs and I think you'll find them as useful as I did.

So simple, yet so effective. It's a game changer.

Many of the positive reviews seem to have come from buyers in the “New World” which suggests to me that pegboards there must differ from those in the UK. In practice I found it almost impossible to get these peg locks into the board; they simply would not fit, even without the hook partially inserted. In the end, though, I was able to use some of them - but only after wrestling them into the keyholes in the pegboard, and I had little enough need to use many there. Overall, then, I was rather disappointed, albeit the principle behind the locks is pretty sound.

Fit my 1/4" pegboard perfectly and held the 7/16" hooks very snugly. Simple to use.
