6 Inch Round Clear Slotted Orchid Pot - 10 Pack

Over the years I've inherited several orphan orchids. They were in bad shape and I knew nothing about caring for them at the time. It was difficult because none of them had blossoms with which to categorize them. However, this year two of them have bloomed. These well aerated pots and a quick draining soil are responsible for the miraculous turnaround. These are excellent pots for orchids - not too small and with an elevated center to raise the plant and prevent root rot. I don't even put them in an exterior container. I love looking at their crazy tangled roots and new growth. I have actually purchased two sets of these this year alone because each time a friend's orchid fails I repot it for them.

I really like these pots and my orchids do, too. The extra ventilation slots on the sides are a big improvement over pots with only bottom drainage holes - most common types of orchids have roots that appreciate good air circulation. And the shape of the bottom of the pot helps it drain quickly while keeping the roots up out of any standing water.

I've been bitten by the Orchid bug, to be sure.I like these pots for my Oncidiums and Phalenopsis to keep enough air on the roots and helping prevent my overwatering tendencies.The plastic itself is substantial, so it can be reused and stand up well to steriilizing in bleach water.

Durable and does the job very well, sturdy and well made.

Expected these to be a bit more rigid. They bow very easily. They do however have a lot of ventilation slits.

see my note for the 4.5 pot..same here..good pot..seems sturdy enuf for the job..I do use rock in the bottom to stabilize pot for a tall/large plant

Perfect size, enough drainage for water & aeration. My orchids looks healthier after I transplanted to these containers.
