Incredibly Useful for Writing a Speech or Presentation!
I found this book easy to ready and jammed with valuable tips to create a compelling speech or presentation. As a current Toastmaster, I was already familiar with the speakers/speeches the author highlights. I loved the author's analysis of their speeches and their tools to create a winning speech. At the end, I found the 35 tips (summarizing the book's content) beneficial when developing any speech for Toastmasters, especially a contest-worthy speech. Thank you, Akash Karia, for writing such a worthwhile book!

To learn practical tips from actual talks
Easy to read, understand, and to the point. If you really are open to learning, it is excellent. If you are arrogant, then it is not the book for you!

Amazing book! Very quick read
Amazing book! Very quick read, 100% practical! I'm doing seminars in front of hundreds of people since 10 years already and I also was doing acting for a while. The book gave me great ideas which I can apply immediately! The book consists 4 of the greatest public speeches from Toastmasters' champions and deep analysis of each of them. I've read a lot of other books about public speaking, but most of them are full of fluff talk by the authors, in order to write more pages. This one is exactly the opposite - short and to the point. Great read not only for public speakers but also for people who want to shape their communication skills.

Very valuable advice - in quick read format
This book reiterates lots of well known style and content best practices. A quick read will provide the reader with a refresher of good idea. It provides clear examples in the speeches that are broken down line by line. By it's nature it is a bit formulaic by sharing examples that work in the ToastMasters competitions. That is not much of a knock though, as the techniques listed have value for holding an audience and making the presentation memorable. Well worth the price.

Definitely a learning experience!
Akash uses multiple speeches and presenters to build the cases for different techniques. I liked the notion of learning several, from which I might choose...based on the subject, audience and desired message.

Not for Storytellers!
The title of the book is misleading, but the written description is more accurate. As a result I am keeping the book instead of trying to return it! I was hoping for Storytelling to be the main topic, but rather it is used to further Public Speaking Skills. I have taught both topics and as I perused the book, found it rather interesting! (But no storytelling techniques developed) The title needs to be altered, changed or whatever!

An ah-ha moment to learn story telling
I have read several books on speech writing and preparation, but this is the best of the bunch. The breakdown of championship quality speeches and analysis of them to help craft your own story is priceless. Great read.

A manual on how to put a great presentation together and deliver it with conviction and panache
Does the thought of presenting feel with you dread , don't know how to start, fill out the middle and then reach the end, with your audience still in the room and still awake! Then this book, full of tips and sage advice, is a bit like completing a jigsaw puzzle, each part carefully constructed to interlock easily together, eventually revealing to your audience the wonderful picture that you wanted your presentation to be. A great must read book.

Very worthwhile to read and ponder
It is a book written from a few great speakers experience who won in competitions.Great ideas and practices to follow and ponder. Even for those whom competition does not matter, like me.For me, who also knew already this winners, not many new ideas, and some I do not agree.I think it is a book to read and reread and I specially loved the feedbacks we can take from each linked speech. Very original exercises also and teaches us how to analyse speeches and take them in our experience. Those, and many others too once we get Karia's method.
