Spring not strong enough to snap it back open
The scoop itself is sized and shaped appropriately and it was delivered very quickly. However, the spring inside is too weak. It did not spring back open after releasing my grip. I found myself having to pry the handles back open each time making this a two handed operation. I have others which have a large spring and I can squeeze and release multiple times to release the material you just scooped. I am using this to make chocolate truffles so the mixture is somewhat firm but my other scoops did not have this problem. Maybe better for something lighter.

Dough would not come out of cookie scoop . It took 5 or more squeezes

But a higher quality scoop. This one is seriously lacking.
I have a 1 1/2 TBS Cookie scoop from another off brand. It squeezes smoothly and the flipper inside the scoop bowl slides easily.This scoop is clunky. It’s jerky. It feels cheap and easily breakable. I honestly wouldn’t recommend purchasing this.Do yourself a favor and pay a buck or two more for higher quality. This thing doesn’t even live up to my lower quality off brand scoop.I gave it three stars because I was able to use it for its purpose. It scoops.

Flimsy
Bummer. Finally got a chance to use and the inside metal strip that pushes the cookie dough out is busted.... and it's too late to return

Perfect size well made
This is the perfect size to make cookies. My other scoop was to large. It looks well made, sturdy and a good weight. Just scoop and and squeeze the handle and you have nice round cookies.
