I’ll give this fan 5 stars because it deserves more than 4 stars and can’t give 4.5 stars. Easy to install, no surprises. Didn’t need to balance, runs true out of the box. My only complaint is the globe is held in with three clips and the globe is glass. If the globe was plastic, not a problem. The instructions say to push firmly on the globe when installing, which I did, and it broke. Luckily Prominence customer service, which I expected to be some off brand Chinese company, was top notch. I emailed them, they replied within a day and I had a new globe within a week. When I put the new one in I bent the clips in just a bit and the globe went on much easier. My only other issue was the included bulb is a little dim. It says it is rated for 60w. I used a 100w equivalent LED bulb which only uses 9w and it’s much brighter.

I was a little concerned about purchasing another inexpensive unknown brand. More often than not that's where you get the noise and balance issues. After all, making all the pieces the right way costs money. But the reviews were mostly positive, so I took a chance. I removed the cheap piece of junk someone else installed and put this up. I chose the brushed Nickel because all of the hardware the builder used in the house is brushed nickel. Oddly enough, the fan was plain white. It was a standard down rod on an 8-foot ceiling and was only 42 inches installed in the family room. The motor was noisy, and the whole thing was horribly out of balance! This fan is the proper size, model, and color. It looks like it belongs in this room! But the real test was turning it on. There is a very slight hum if you really listen for it, but it's barely audible. You'd never hear it if you weren't listening for it. Perfect! Pulll the chain to put it on high and the chain barely moves. You're not going to get much better than that. Bonus, they included a balance kit. The light and fan are on separate switches, so I don't need a pull chain for the light. The lip above the light kit is hollow. I was able to lay that chain and the balance kit in that lip. They are completely hidden yet stored with the fan. My only question is why didn't I do this when I moved in 3.5 years ago? I finally got around to upgrading the door locks too. Those were an el-cheapo mixture of polished brass and antique bronze. It was a HUD home, so the realtor replaced those with whatever they had lying around. Now everything matches and is big step up in quality and performance. Now I'm thinking the previous owners likely busted the fan that was in that room and the realtor had this other piece of junk hung there. That makes sense.

This fan is SO quiet, does not come with a remote control which I like, easy to install, so easy and reliable, easy to change direction and great adjustability, very lightweight, and the light is very bright. I love this fan all around.

Good quiet fan. Easy to install. The only bad thing is only 1 light socket makes the light very uneven and very dim. Upgraded to a 23 watt led which helped with a little more light.

This fan works perfectly! Instructions were easy to follow and the fan is very quiet, even at its highest setting. I love the gray option for the fan blades - it looks really good with the white base. There is also great airflow on all three settings.

Moves lots of air and very quiet. Nice looking. Exactly as described.

I was pleasantly surprised at how great value this fan is for under $100. Installation was easy, I'm no handy-man and took me longer than other reviews mentioned but it was easy and straight forward. I also did not have to use any of the balance weights which was the biggest surprise of the fan. I was expecting some sort of wobble at this price point. Looks pretty good given this is under $100. I ordered the brushed nickel and chose to use the walnut colored side of the blades. The maple seems a little bit odd to me to pair with the brushed nickel. The light is good enough. I might buy a different light bulb than the one that came with it but that is more of a personal preference. I do appreciate that it came with a light bulb. The fan is what you would expect for a 52" fan. Airflow is adequate and the only slight downside is that it does emit a slight hum from the motor. No big deal for now since it's Day 1 but I can see how this might get worse as the fan ages. Overall I am highly satisfied given the price point.

This fan is perfect, I had a different fan in my bedroom that broke and i actually bought this fan again to replace it. Has a quiet motor and wasn’t horrible to install.

Muy fácil de instalar por una persona, no se requiere ayuda. Es silencioso y con buena potencia, con el tiempo veremos si no presenta fallas. De momento muy conforme con la compra.

Me encuentro muy satisfecho con la compra, para una habitación pequeña está muy bien, muy silencioso en la velocidad baja y media, en la alta hace muy poco ruido, nada que moleste.

Edit: I have to apologize. I had reviewed this fan and gave it two stars when it was only installed half way when the blades had not been installed yet. The motor noise at that time was extremely loud. Despite this I completed the installation anyway and in the end the fan was quiet! I advise the maker to add a note of this in the instructions, to avoid people freaking out if they test the fan before installation is complete, like I did. Below is my original review: "I don't know if I got a defective unit or what but this is the loudest fan motor noise I have ever heard in my life. There are 3 speeds settings and the 2 highest ones are unbeareably loud. However even the lowest speed is annoying and I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep properly. My 25 years old ceiling fan I was replacing is much quieter then this. Very disappointed..."
