How to orient your own battery. (None provided)
I had to supply my own battery and the directions didn’t say in which direction to insert it. The battery had plus and minus indicators but the flashlight did not. I had to ask the teenage boy next door.

I do not recommend this.
I know this is 2yrs since I bought this item, but it was defective from the start. The light when I got it to stay on was bright, but it is hard to get it to stay on for more than a few seconds. I stretch out the wand and use it as a magnet now,so obviously I give it (1) star.

FOR IN THE CAR OR IN MY BOAT, IT HAS SERVED ME WELL SEVERAL TIMES WHILE LOOKING FOR SCREWS, KEYS, ETC.WHEN DROPPED.

Didn't work
Didn't work from the start. Amazon sent a new one and it only works if you tap it against something (evidently to make a contact internally). Very low quality in my view!
