Best microphone I’ve owned yet!
The title is a bit much for anyone that uses microphones on a regular basis but for me it’s the best I’ve had. The sound is great. Better than my last mic. The Pyle was less in price and it has a lot better quality on the sound. The look is just that much cooler as well. It was a simple plug and play with the XLR to USB-C cable.

Overall a great value and looks!
After plugging in for the first time..I was very happy with the quality of this Pyle mic. A great alternative to the way more expensive Shute 55. Has the great retro classic look, I would recommend this mic, as a great value , great looks, and great addition to my mic collection.

Very Durable, Sounds Good! (Professional Singer Review)
Pyle PDMICR42R offers a classic, retro-style like feel to live recordings and events that will surely please the average audiophile. The CR42 is very sturdy and has a quality build for its simplistic yet premium design. Simply, the mic is built to last. The best feature by far is its built-in pop filter that reduces the popping sound. Awhile I love this feature, I would reluctantly still find myself using an additional filter for subtle differences in hearing Ps and Bs throughout a recording. Nonetheless, It's a matter of choice and preference as there would be certain variances often plagued by the additional recording equipment I was using. It's not big on the diaphragm, but this is not what the mic's use is intended for, obviously. Moreover, the mic holds true to its wide frequency and its unidirectional sensitivity ensuring clear crystal audio. Truly one of the best mic's on the market.

I am very impressed; this is a lot of microphone for the money.
This is actually a pro–sounding mic and at an amazing price. Imagine a Shure SM58 at a third of the cost but housed in plastic instead of metal. I did a side-by-side comparison with this mic and a Shure SM58. To my ears, which are pretty sensitive, the two mics sounded identical on vocals (male with range from low F to high G), and I actually preferred it over the SM-58 for an acoustic guitar and acoustic bass. Sorry I didn’t do electrics because I only have a dinky practice amp. I think the trade-off for the low price is in the material. An SM58 is nigh–indestructible, able to take insane forms of abuse from high impacts to freezing, and even cooking. This mic, on the other hand, is a light, rigid plastic of some kind. My initial impressions were just don’t drop it on the floor or anything like that and you’ll be fine, as long as it’s handled carefully. However, the threads for mounting to a stand are also plastic, and I do wonder how long the plastic threads will endure their job without wear. I’ve had no such problems yet, though. If one only uses stands compatible with the metal adapter (included), this should not be a concern. Contrary to amateur complaints… THIS MICROPHONE HAS NO PROBLEMS WITH BUZZ OR RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE. Any such problems come from the CABLE, not from the microphone. The cable included with this microphone is just a bonus; it is of poor quality and not suitable for serious use. Always use a low-impedance (XLR) cable to avoid such problems. No microphone in the world can guarantee a signal free of unwanted interference if it is connected to a cheap high-impedance cable like the one included here. Toss the cable, keep the mic. This is an amazing–sounding dynamic microphone for home/studio use and at very low price; just handle it gently. Oh, and it does look really cool. The photos are accurate. Wishing everyone good health.

Impressed with what I paid for
I bought this mic out of impatience in waiting on a Yoga 50's mic I wont on ebay, and also because it's red and would look great for my band on stage. Oh yeah, and it was super cheap (like $22) lol. When it came in I really wasn't expecting much at all, I already knew it had a plastic shell and I had read some reviews about it before purchase. When it came in I was pleasently surprised that the plastic was nice and thick so I don't expect it to break unless I am trying to break it. The curved back feels great in my hand as I'm singing (I don't use a mic stand) The best surprise was the sound. While this is by no means compariable to a $500+ studio mic, it is way better than the run of the mill mics you are going to buy for $20-$40. It picks up everything very well (and I mean everything so make sure you cover the back if playing live and to keep the noise to a minimum when recording) It sounds way better than the Shure PG58 that we started with (to be fair it's a low end Shure mic that's about 8 years old) I'm not a recording expert, but we did 3 songs with this mic (vocals only, everything else was direct) We did an intro with a speech, an acoustic with clean vocals, and a heavy metal with screams. All of these sound great so far. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cool and inexpensive mic for demos and live shows.

Pyle Retro Style Mic.
Sounds good, but high impedance gives low output. You have to crank the volume way up compared to other mics. Problem solved with an inline preamp.

Everyday
I use this everyday, and it works phenomenally. Long chord, and plugs into 1/4 jacks. Super light, I love the click lock for the angle. Definitely recommend.

Great Vintage Microphone For Software Based Amateur Radio Communications and Chat Programs Such As Paltalk
I read the comments concerning this mic... first of all, those of you who are making the bad comments are not reading the specifications of the microphone, second, this particular mic is made of plastic (42BK) and there is one Pyle sells for that comes in a metal case. Do your homework! I bought this mic because I wanted something vintage and not expensive for my chat, Skype and for using it on Echolink (Internet based Amateur Radio Communications program). This mic suits that purpose. After setting it up and having adjusted the volume levels on my soundcard, this microphone works beautifully and my voice is clear on the receiving end of the conversation. I have attached a couple of photos of this mic on a an Audio2000 AST 421 Microphone Desktop stand that I also bought on Amazon. It's the perfect height. With my software, I control the PTT (Push To Talk) with the space bar on Echolink and with the chat program, the PTT is controlled by the CTRL key (keep in mind the on and off switch on the microphone must be left in the on position when using it on these programs). I absolutely recommend this microphone to all my Ham Radio Buddies and to all who want a simple but inexpensive microphone for chatting or Skyping. I will be purchasing the Pyle 68BK (Metal Casing) to add to my collection. Shipping was fast and received everything in working order.

It looks good & sounds okay.
It has a smaller thread to fit on mike stand so will have to get an adapter. It's Canon to jack so will have to get a canon to canon lead.

Excelente sonido
No puedo creer la calidad de sonido que ofrece por tan poco dinero. El diseño es muy atractivo y logrado. Es bien cierto que se siente que es puro plástico pero es justo lo que dice la descripción. Una gran compra que recomiendo 100%
