Westminster Pet 00002 Ruffin it Corkscrew Tie Out Stake

My 50 lb. dog snapped the stake just above the spiral portion in less than a day and she is never outside more than 1-2 hours per day. While this is a pretty inexpensive item, that is not the primary concern to me. My mostly inside dog wandering around my neighborhood with no understanding of cars or coming into contact with another dog could create an infinite amount of damage that can't be measured in dollars.This item should not be rated for small dogs or taken off the market.

Decent tie down that does it's job as long as it's screwed into appropriate soil. If the ground is too soft, it pulls right out of the ground. If the ground is super hard, the corkscrew will bend if your dog pulls at the other end of his lead too often. I use these for my 50 lb dogs whenever we go camping, and they've held up pretty well.

Like all stakes of this caliber they are a little flimsy. But for what I use them for, and the price they are hard to beat. If you're in nice soft soil they go in no problems, but if its a little dry or crappy soil I've broken the handles off these trying to screw them in.

These stakes are very sturdy and thick. The price is very good. Other websitesare charging more for thes stakes. I bought 4 of these. I do not own a dog, which it can be used for. I plan on using these to stake down things that ordinary small stakes don't work on. For instance, these will stake down the outdoor blowups on holidays, stake down tarps outdoors, etc.I bought a large outdoor arbor for my backyard and plan on securing the ends down with these stakes so that the arbor will not get pulled up with heavy winds.

I bought a few of these- for my dogs and goats. I have little Nigerian dwarf goats and after one use they have these bent. Definitely wasn't expecting that. They seemed like they would hold up. They are thick and heavy. Maybe I just have super strong goats.

I ordered two and one broke as soon as I attempted to put it in the ground, The Ground was moist enough it should have gone in with no problems. It wasn't sturdy enough to be placed in the ground without breaking I wouldn't want to place my dogs tie out onto it for him to be able to possibly pull on it and break it himself.

It works just fine, goes deep enough for my yard. My only complaint is that it would be nicer if it was painted a bright color so people don't miss it and trip on it.

it works perfectly with the tie-out i got for my younger cat. he wants to run up towards the very busy, dangerous street we live on, and i can't have that!
