Horrible DAC inside.
I bought this because of the good reviews. It seems sturdy and has a nice snug fit, but unfortunately no matter what headphones I used there was a massive hissing sound coming from it. I tried different headphones and even a different phone but it hissed like crazy no matter what. Its pretty much unusable to listen to music with unless you're ok with a constant hiss in your music.UPDATE: I am upgrading my review to 5 stars. Customer service was amazing and replaced the adapter promptly.

Phone damage + bad dongle period
*UPDATE CAREFUL GOOGLE PIXEL USERS*Now I've had my Google pixel 2 XL for a year and a half now. I keep an OtterBox case on my phone at all times to protect it. If you are like me DO NOT buy this dongle. Buy an apple USB-C dongle. It lasted way longer than Google's for how thin and small it is. The reason for this update is I have to go to one of Google's UbreakIfix partner stores due to USB C damage and hope that they can fix it for $85+. I can hardly charge my phone. It will not connect to this dongle or any other dongles anymore. Multiple reasons caused this damage, not only the dongle itself, but water corrosion as well from rain + work. I say this dongle has a role in this due to it only being able to fit in at a angle, pushing and ruining the USB c hole. My chargers all wiggle in my phone significantly now. If you don't have a case, I'm sure your phone will be fine if you desperately need this dongle. I wouldn't suggest wasting money for it. Buyer beware.------I just got this dongle after breaking three wired dongles within a year. As soon as I got this product I noticed two things right away that I definitely didn't like:1) Static noiseWith any audio I play, there is always this big white noise that plays behind the song. When you pause a song, video, etc, the static stops. It's tolerable but kind of annoying when you bought a dongle that will definitely out last the others.2) Can't plug in all the wayI noticed as soon as I plugged this in, my pixel 2 XL OtterBox stops it. Yeah it plugs in almost all the way so it works, but I'm not taking off my case to listen to music. It's supposed to be protecting my phone. In other words, the product will definitely last for years to come and It's doing it's job. You just have to tolerate it sticking out and loud static noise. If I knew this, I'd just buy another wired dongle.

Works great with OnePlus 7 Pro
I've been using it for a couple days and it's been working great so far! It fits firmly into my phone and the sound quality on calls and listening to music is very clear. I like the right angle and solid design of it with my OnePlus 7 Pro as I've burned through a couple of the wire type dongles on my last Google Pixel 2 XL phone.

A little static, but overall okay
EDIT:I reviewed this product a while ago and gave it one star... my original review is below. I am changing my review to three stars instead of one because of customer service alone. The company was quick to reach out to me, and apologized for their dongle and said they had a better, updated version they wanted to send me.The new set of dongles they sent me were better than the first set I got! The sound quality is SIGNIFICANTLY better with the newer adapter, but it is still a little fuzzy. It's not a terrible amount of static, and oddly it's just in one ear (I tried multiple earbuds I have, too, just in case my one earbuds were dying or something), but it's not the end of the world. I mostly just use my earbuds to listen to music on public transit, which is already relatively loud, so hopefully I won't notice the minor fuzziness as much then. However, I would like to note that maybe it is my phone! I have a OnePlus 6T, and perhaps my phone just doesn't agree with the dongle. Again... GREAT customer service, not a terrible product at all. Definitely reach out if you get the older version, because the newer version of this little adapter is fantastic compared to the older version.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I bought these on a whim because I have a tendency to break longer dongles and can't get more than four-ish months out of them, and these were the only short, solid USB C adapters I could find. I read all the positive reviews, and figured why not try it.I actually bought the two pack because I thought it was a decent deal, but both pieces are abysmal. The sound quality is honestly the worst I've ever heard. (And that's saying something, because I've been using a half-broken dongle that fades in and out and has an oddly electric whine when it plays music for the past month.) There's so much static it sounds like you're sitting in the middle of a bee hive, and when you turn the sound up so you can actually hear, the sound warps from being just quiet and fuzzy, to extremely tinny and warped. It's like everything get's pitched two octaves higher than they should be.Some of the edited 5 star reviews say the company emailed them and offered them updated replacements, hopefully I can get my hands on two of those that actually work and have decent sound quality. I really need a dongle like this that actually works, given my track record with other adapters, but *dramatic sigh* I guess it's not meant to be.

Updated: 7/15......Muffled sound out of only left headphone with static underpinning.
Update 7/15: Prior to posting this review I was contacted by the seller to ask how the product was. I informed them of the review and they asked if it was ok for them to send a replacement which they did. The new one works well and the static and muffled sound is no longer there on the new one and it works properly.Due to the customer service plus the new one I have updated the review to 4 stars. Five is not feasible as the first one did not function correctly.************************Unfortunately the product does not work.Form and fit are nice as is the ability to use the inline controls. Unfortunately, the sound is a massive let down.First, I only get sound out of one headphone (the left).Second, that sound is muffledThird, that sound has a static underpinning.Overall disappointing. I have gone back to my Apple sold adapter.I tried this with an iPad 2018.

Static and audio cuts out
There's static and buzzing noise, not most of the time but regularly. Additionally, sometimes I'll lose audio on one side so it seems pretty sensitive. The size and design are nice, it would be great if it worked.

Too noisy
Great form factor, but unacceptable noise, hissing sound whenever using headphones. Hissing louder than the music/Voice i want to hear
