Lucky Brand Women's Emmie Ballet Flat

Comparing with Hush Puppies Chaste Ballet
I ordered both these and the Chaste Ballet in Nude Size 11. I could tell right away that the Hush Puppies would be painful in the heel and top of my foot at the toebox area, needing a lot of breaking in. The sole of the Lucky Brand is perfect, while I noticed (in my other Chaste as well) that the sole of the foot is distinctively separate between the heel and ball of the foot, making it easy to have your foot slip to one side or the other depending how you walk. Walking just a bit on the carpet, I could tell that the Hush Puppies were already having my foot slip off to the side of the heel.I did notice immediately, especially in comparing these with the Hush Puppies, that my feet would sweat a bit in these.Nonetheless, I kept the Nude Lucky Brand and love them. They fit perfectly and were immediately comfortable. No chafing/blisters at all since wearing.I preferred the color of the Lucky Brand nude over the Hush Puppies. The Lucky Brand are more of a off-white/very light beige, while the Hush Puppies are brighter, more white. Both brands show no toe cleavage on my feet. They hit just at the edge of the toe cleavage.Lucky Brand EmmiePROS-Comfortable immediately-Buttery soft-Great sole - no slipping side to side at all-Fit better (I would say in comparing that Lucky Brand fits just a bit smaller - maybe a quarter size - than the Hush Puppies)-Cuter toe box - not the extra/more pointed toeCONS-Do make your feet sweat a bitHush Puppies Chaste PROS-Don't make your feet sweat-Comfy around edges depending on material (not the Nude - but yes in the Stud style)CONS-Longer/pointy toe box compared to Lucky Brand, which I don't find as cute-Foot slips off to side when wearing-Need to break in depending on materialGood luck on your search for the perfect ballet flat!

Great, stylish flats
I tried these on in the store and they didn't have my size so we ordered them online. They are very comfortable, padded insole, and supportive, which you don't find with many flats. I am a heel girl honestly, but during the last few months of my pregnancy my doctor ordered me into flats. Needless to say, I have tried several brands and these Lucky flats are one of my most comfortable pairs...plus they are cute and stylish. I would highly recommend them and I plan on getting them in other colors. Great flat!

Worth it.
I wear flats every day to the office, so finding a good pair is important to me. There is no article of clothing I will wear as much as a pair of flats. My sister had these, and and she let me borrow them for some pictures, and I fell in love with then and ordered a pair of my own, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.I typically wear a 5.5-6, but I got a 6.5 because that is what my sister had and it fit fine. If I had not tried hers on first, I probably would have ordered a 5.5 or 6 and they would have been a tad bit too tight. So in my opinion, the sizing is not accurate.Pros:-Made with good quality material that is soft on skin and doesn't rub blisters into your feet.-Very flexible, which keeps me from feeling like my toes we're stiff all day. Also, I don't get toe corns when I wear these because they don't squish my toes together really tightly.Cons:-Not true to size.-Insole is very minimalistic/barely there, which can be a pro because of flexibility, but also means it offers no cushion or support.Overall, the cons don't outweigh the pros for me. I can do without cushioned insoles if that means I am not going to get blisters, corns, or stiff toes. I am happy with my purchase and I will be buying them in other colors as well.I hope that this review was helpful in your decision to purchase or pass on these flats though.

Super cute! Added modifications.
My background with shoes is one that hails from comfort. I have worn construction boots to work everyday for the last seven years. I am also a minimalist (barefoot style) runner. Now that I need shoes for an office job, it's very difficult to find something that fulfills all my needs. Here's my take on these shoes: they look lovely, the leather is insanely supple, there is no internal arch support to be spoken of, and the outsole is beautifully thin and flexible. So far so good for minimalist shoes. The two negative points I probably could not live with, had I not modified this item: the small round heels & the tight elastic around the Achilles. The 1/4 inch heel is placed awkwardly far back such that it digs into the soft part of my heel, near my arch. Every step on a hard surface just made it more pronounced. I fixed that problem by cutting them off with a coping saw. Maybe not a solution for everyone, but for this DIYer, problem solved. The next issue is much easier to fix. I found the elastic to bite a little into my Achilles tendon area. I didn't want to wait and see if the pain would just go away, or for my feet to build up proper callouses. So I went to the drugstore and purchased the generic "moleskin" from the foot aisle, cut a strip of about 3/4 inch and applied it to the inside the shoe's heel area, and voila, no more pain! After these two modifications, I love these shoes! I can even wear my toe spacers inside of them rather comfortably. If your only issue is with the rubbing from the elastic, I suggest the moleskin. Works like a charm.
