I like the cd, the songs, but just a lot of crackling noises in certain songsAnd the case is cracked

This is Flavor Flav's self-titled solo debut LP (unofficially, the "Hollywood Album"). Public Enemy fans have long heard of a promised solo LP from the band's co-rapper and comic-relief hype-man since at least 1990. But nothing ever came out until this indie 2006 release on Flav's own DrayTown Records.The LP starts off on the wrong foot with "Let it Show", where Flav starts singing rather badly, only it's apparently not an intentional joke. His other "R&B" songs are similarly treacly. Flav reputedly is self-taught in 14 instruments, but it's clear here that he is not a traditional vocalist.Traditional rapping cuts like "Unga Bunga Bunga", "Hot 1", "Col-Leepin", "Flavor Man" and "Bridge of Pain" are the best songs here.It is unclear how many of these songs were originally demos from Flav's "early" solo efforts over the 16-year time frame that everything was promised. As it stands, Flav could have used some outside consultants to help mold his sound, and tell him, "Flav, we love you, but please, don't sing." Considering Flav has gained much latter-day fame as a reality TV star and pitchman, it's curious that he didn't reach out to some famous friends to help out with production duties.This ends up being a vanity effort that only Public Enemy completists will really love. Others may just want to purchase the key singles mentioned through Amazon's MP3 service.

So I bought the CD for Unga Bunga Bunga which I heard on S. 4 of breaking bad. FUN SONG!!! Not really into the rest of the album, but I think he could do some fun stuff. Production values very low, but it is also good for all types of people to be able to make music - that is important. And it seems like he is having fun...

Striking while the iron is hot is personified by this CD that will strike even the most ardent hip hop fan like a hot poker in the ear. I can't blame the man for getting his $$ as he is a constant reminder of the old truism that a fool and his money are soon parted. But don't expect anything remotely resembling the sharpness in hits beats rhymes or rhythms of his days long gone by with PE during the 90's when they defined the intelligence of hip hop political commentary. This CD is just meandering tomfoolery. If you're a collector like me then go head but otherwise steer clear.

My product came very fast and was in excellent condition. I will definately purchase from this seller again! Flavor Flav's album came with 20 tracks and a bonus track. His singing is not so good and his rapping skills are a little lacking, but he gets an A for effort. His lyrics are pretty hilarious and the album is overall entertaining. If you're not a true Flav fan I don't recommend that you buy this, you'd probably find it annoying.

This is the Worst Music I've Ever Purchased and I love music, especially hip hop. Flav was great back in the day as crowd exciter with PE. However, this album just tries way to hard to be awesome and it just isn't.

Not the greatest to be fair. Only average. A mile apart from the great PE stuff. Only for the hardcore PE fans in my opinion and thats just to say that you have it in your collection. A couple of good tracks but then they were released on the next PE album (Col-Leppin!).
