Fun Product with decent quality and STELLAR Support! Highly Recommended :)
I bought this for fun to play with easy to record macro/micro images and video in art projects.Initially, I had a problem with the software not functioning as it's supposed to. The device itself works perfectly fine and it's fun to play with. However, the software was preventing the use I bought it for.At first I thought that I'd just have to return it and maybe buy another one at a later date. However, to my GREAT surprise... the Veroyi seller and associated Veroyi technical support went over and above the normal support and solved my issues quickly. I'm actually shocked at the level of excellent support I got from this company and would definitely buy from them again! Now the microscope works perfectly in all ways. It's fun, easy to get going right out of the box. The iOS app works well with wifi. I can also use this via USB connected to my Mac, or record video and images to a miniSD card. The battery in the microscope seems to last a few hours too.I don't know if the magnification is actually what they claim, but video of the top of my finger makes the hairs look like tree trunks.Overall, very happy with this product. It's fun and the quality is decent... especially at this price point.Highly recommended!

settings button while on record function and scroll to format option - fixes sd issue
I got this to examine cannabis ripeness and I think it will work for that. I have just played around with a few of the functions. The picture is pretty decent, not quite as fine a resolution as I would like but not bad for a device at this price point. One note. I bought an San Disk 64G micro sd to go with this. The device did not recognize the sd card at first. I kept getting the message 'not enough space' or something like that when I tried to take a still. Formatting the sd on a pc - either FAT or NTFS - did not fix the issue. Only when I selected record function, then hit the settings button and scrolled down to the bottom of the list and selected 'format' - that fixed the problem.

No support, trying to understand how device works
I am very comfortable with technology, digital cameras, computers, etc. But I have hit a brick wall with this device. I can not figure out how to change magnification. You would think this very basic topic would be in the one page folded paper that counts as a manual, but it is not. The vendors appear not to include any support on their web site, and have not answered the questions I have put on the Amazon product site. I returned it once, thinking that the scroll knob called "zoom" should be what I was looking for, but in the second one I got I have no idea what that spring loaded scroll knob is supposed to do. So...this one is going back too. A shame, as I think having something like this at this price point would be great,.

REVISED: Fine bright image on replacement sample
Revised 15 August 2019------------------------------The vendor was kind enough to respond to my original review and, after ascertaining the problem I was experiencing, offered to dispatch a replacement sample.I am pleased to report that the replacement is much, much better than the first sample, leading me to conclude that I just got a defective unit first time out. The dark, low contrast image I saw on my first unit was gone, replaced by a bright and finely detailed one. While there is still a somewhat greenish cast to the picture, it was not at all bothersome for me this round. I suspect the main defect with the first item sits with its illumination system. The fully operational replacement was free of this defect, and I now regard the product as a good value for the price, and the vendor a quality merchant who rose to the challenge of an initially disappointed customer, converting him, through stellar service, to a satisfied one.Original review follows, for reference --------------------------------------------I'm not certain if I received a defective sample, or if the image quality on this model is just very poor. In either case the sample reviewed produced a very dark, very green image with scarcely any blue or red detail and highlights entirely crushed out. The same characteristic image was seen whether viewed from the built-in LCD or streamed to a desktop PC over USB. I will attempt to acquire a sample which performs per manufacturer's expectations and revise this review with my ultimate results.

Keep searching
Right out of the box the screen is messed up. One side is pushed in. Then the screw thing that adjust the tilt with was off and like to of never got it back on. The screen is of course not right. On top of that it was delayed 2 times and 6 days late.

Not for microscopic things but a cool thing to play with
Pros: spents time with my kids just looking at anything and everything up close. Used it to check out some jewelery to see if it was real one of the best things to use it on in my opinion.Cons: if your wanting to see microscopic beings this is not for you but if you just want to have some fun with the kids buy it.

Kind of janky
OK clarity. The instructions kind of suck. Would recommend for tabletop use on static objects. If you're trying to view any bugs that move, it's hard to keep them in the field of view.
