It fits and works 🤞
So far so good.. I have kept the old one just in case.. Reading comments about fixing your old one.. I Looked up YouTube and their it was italian guy with a thick accent showing how to breath new life.. Thank goodness he put close captions.. Pretty sure I did it right.. Like I said the old one is on standby.. Who would have thunk when I saw this show up on printer ( Pic ).. Wtf it has a little trash for used tonner 😂..

I've purchase this product 3 times and not once have it worked, Im out of the US so its expensive for me to return the product, so i keep buying thinking the next one would fix the job...An absolute waste of money...I trow them all out along with the printer

Easier to install than I feared
As a technician for Xerox and Lexmark laser printers I know how finnicky they are. I feared my home Brother printer would be similarly tough to break down and rebuild. Nope. Easy Peasy. Just pulling out the toner carts and drums, then swap the Boxes out, then replace drums and carts, and I was done! Up and running within five minutes (I am exceptionally careful and cautious). While a bit expensive and cost-per-page is a bit higher than other brands, maintenance is quite easy. Yah, I would recommend this and other Brother printer products.

Only worked for 2-3 prints, the error came back again
Nowadays, people don't use printers as much as they used to. I bought this unit because I was getting "Replace the waste toner box error" on my HL-3180CDW printer. I installed it on September 19, 2020. I was still getting the error. I turned the printer off/on and the error went away. A week later trying to use the printer, got the error again. I did the same thing and error went away. This time, no matter what I do, the error does not go away. I even took the unit out and tapped on it a little and still the same thing. This was a bad unit. It is now passed the Amazon return policy. I am at the mercy of the seller to replace it for me. If you are reading this review, please let me know what I need to do.

Remove all ink cartridges prior to removing the old part and replacing the new part.
Worked great. Perfect fit. Printer resumed printing as soon as the tray was replaced.
