This simple tool is used to mark the dovetail pin angles on the end of your boards. This important layout step is critical in making neat, accurate dovetail joints. The two sided marker has 1:8 angles for hardwoods and 1:5 angles for softwoods. Marks stock up to 1" thick. Hardened Aluminum construction.

Just the right tool
I really like dovetails and already own one of most commercially availabe jigs. This simple tool will enable me to move into the somewhat scary unknown of the hand cut joint.

Great little tool
I have only used this tool once since receiving it, but it was quite handy. Much easier than doing the math to figure the proper angles to use.
