Rear Disc Brake Adapter for Gary Fisher Trek Klein Frames Universal Mount - Disk

Just what I needed for my wife's 2006 gary fisher advance. Bolted right on and allowed me to put bb5 disc brakes on her bike. I belive there's 2 styles so make sure you get the right one for your frame

I own a 2004 Trek 4300. I decided to convert the bike to disc brakes. I was able to complete the project myself with little trouble. The only problem I really had was this bracket. When I got the calipers and was test fitting the front and the back to be sure that bolt holes lined up on the front forks and rear frame the rear was way off. After doing some research I found that Trek, Fisher and Giant bikes made between 2000 and 2009 used this adapter for their rear calipers. So I bought it, while trying to mount the caliper to the adapter the bolt was off by maybe 1/8 of an inch or less. I could not get the holes to line up and was going to strip the threads if I forced it. I live an hour away from the nearest bike shop so I called a bike shop that I have taken my bike to before and asked about the problem. Basically they told me that I would have to drill the hole out to make it larger. I work at manufacturing plant and have access to a machine shop. I myself did not machine the hole out but one of my guys did. He made the hole on one side just big enough for the bolt to get to the threads on the caliper. In all it was a success. The bolt holes lined up on the frame just fine. This seems a little pricey for what it's used for but can understand if it was CNC machined.

I have been looking for this part for too long. Glad I could have found it here, was a must for the upgrade I did on my Trek 8000 series mountain bike from V-Brake to Disk brakes. Will Buy again if necessary because this CNC part is strong and well made.

Great quality and fit. I added blue thread locker since it a brake component. Ass soon as I get the wheels I want I will be adding the brakes and testing out the adapter. I don't foresee any issues.

This adapter for disc brake is awesome fit perfectly in my Mtb Genesis G200 and now i have disc brake Good job

Used this on my 2002 Trek 6500 mountain bike. Bolted up without a problem. I now have 180mm disc brake with avid caliper (also purchased through Amazon).
