Alchemy Guitar Straps

A really soft but durable fabric, it is almost padded. Very comfortable, you can't even fell the plastic length adjustment. The finish of the borders is also really nice, I have used low quality straps that gets your neck and shoulders itchy after a few minutes, but I haven't have that problem with this one. The paint seems durable, is not like those paints that dries out and falls in crumbles, and the design is wicked. A good quality, tick leather at the end of the strap for holding the guitar. If you take care of it keeping it moist with polish or something alike, you will have a durable strap. Only downside I can think, is that it doesn't have like a safety device for the hold, some other straps from planetwaves do come with it, but I guess you get what you pay for, and all the features that this straps has for less than $20 is a great deal.

This is a D'Addario strap with design from a British goth-kid brand called Alchemy (the American Alchemy website is even more cartoony.) I thought I might be too old for this style, but the alternating postage stamp photos of Count Magistus and gothic Victoria look so cool. I have a reverse-headstock, fan-fret guitar, which I designate as my Slipknot, Korn, Metallica, Fear Factory, Pantera guitar, and this strap looks awesome with it. That guitar is pretty lightweight, and this strap is on the slippery side, so I control the positioning of the guitar with my hands. I think slippery vs. grippy is the most important factor for people searching for a guitar strap. Most guitarists seem to prefer grippy shoulder straps to counteract "neck-dive", while I just formed the habit of controlling the position of my neck-heavy baritone guitars with my hands when I play.

Made of good strong material. Art work shouldn't fade since they are part of the material and not painted on. Connection points grab ahold well so they don't slip off like some straps do. Very pleased with my purchase.
