CLEANS UP RASH SCABS & WEEPING FLUID on DOG
My 115 lb Black Lab / Shepard mix contracted a stubborn skin rash that I began to treat using this vet-recommended Keratolux shampoo. I found that it did disolve the scabs and cleaned-off the smelly residue that was weeping from the skin area being attacked by the rash. Unfortunately, after about 18-20 weekly bathings, the skin disorder was NOT really disappearing. This weird rash moves from place to place all over this big dog's coat, in dime-size to silver dollar-sized patches, temporarily thinning the fur, or balding the area it concentrates on. After trying diet changes to address the possibility it being a food allergy induced rash, and having no luck with this Keratolux, the vet recommended trying a different shampoo, Malaseb. I found Malaseb shampoo to be fairly effective at actually eliminating most of, but unfortunately not 100% of, the disorder. Not sure why the rash is not completely wiped out, especially after carefully washing the dog so often (weekly for about 6 months now between the two shampoos).

Clean,fresh and healthy
I have a maltese mixed with poodle. Her hair is thick, curly and she is prone to allergies .The vet prescribed this shampoo, and I found it at a very reasonable price at Amazon, compared to local stores.Actually, she likes her bath and licks the foam,it smells very pleasantly and really ended all the rashes she had,(they were like hard, darkish blisters)The doctor said to give her a massage with the foam, like for 5 minutes, and voila!it was a definite cure.It was so good that since then(almost one year ago)I keep using it,And her hair looks very white, her skin is not dry,and most important she enjoys her bath!

Works absolute wonders!
I have been using this product for years on my dogs. They both suffer from allergies and are prone to dry skin and the "itchies" Giving them a bath with this is like taking a Xanax! They are so calm and happy afterward, and the shampoo really does help their skin! My little has very sensitive skin. The groomer once gave him a bath in flea shampoo (against my specific request) and his skin just oozed blood afterward. This shampoo has been great for him.

Good stuff....
This product works well with taking the crusty stuff off the back of my Schnauzer but it doesn't "cure" it... After a few days it returns. I wish there was a lotion of this product to apply to the area so not so much bathing is required. Our vet suggested this product but it was so expensive at his office. I got 16 oz thru Amazon for the same amount that I paid at the vets office for 8 oz. Will continue to use for sure...

It was okay....
I was really hoping this will help my dog who has very sensitive skin. It does relieve the itching but a few days later she is back to scratching. Maybe I need to wash her more than once a week and maybe I'd see better results. In the short term, it works. Long term, I am just not sure yet. Overall, it is not a bad product.

Trying it out
I am trying out this product because I have a Westie that itches a lot and this product has been prescribed for similar products. At this time I cannot say how good it works because it is a product that needs to be used multiple times, however, the product came highly recommended.

it's okay
I may be expecting too much...I WAS HOPING it would reduce the pearl cyst on my hairless dog. It does clean their skin nicely but other high end medicated pet shampoos have too. A good product and more reasonably priced than the products my vet recommended.

Relief for yeasty skin
My poor dog had terribly itchy skin as a result of mites. His itching caused yeast and bacteria overgrowth and he was very stinky because of it. While he was going through treatment for the mites, I used this shampoo every 3 days for 3 weeks and the results were outstanding and instant.
