now I have this great old antique incubator that works great
I have an old stainless steel Brower incubator that I have been struggling with to get a constant temperature. This wafer was my last resort before giving up. I've tried other wafers and none worked. Finally, this one is holding a steady temperature. It costs a little more, but it is well worth the price for the piece of mind. Plus, now I have this great old antique incubator that works great.

It worked very good. My temp was suppose to hold at 100 degrees and that is all the higher the thermostat would go so it was GREAT.thank you.

NOT GALVANIZED!
SO disappointed! Note the picture in the advertisement and description of "galvanized" as shown in the picture. It is the same thermostat I "could have purchased" for about 30% less. I purchased this one specifically because it was galvanized. IT IS NOT! May just return it - just opened the box - have to think about it.ALSO - the connection point in the add photo is female. As demonstrated in the photo of the thermostat I received, it has a male fitting. This product was advertised as a completely different product then what I received at a 30% premium to other products exactly the same as this one - though I would suspect they have the proper female attachment fitting.Update - my rooster was killed by a fox "about" 3 weeks ago - I saved the eggs lay for a few days after that, but this is really pushing it on storage time for the eggs to be viable (maybe they will, maybe they won't). ie I did not want to wait for another thermostat to arrive.SO - the female attachment on the old incubator is quite short. I took a grinder to the back side of the thermostat to ensure that I got the maximum female thread adaptor and it worked to attach the male thermometer to the male adjustment screw. At this time the thermostat after adjusting is spot on, varying a degree of less between on and off. I have no idea if it works any better than the other thermostats that look exactly the same. So, out of honesty, the thermostat does work and my eggs went in yesterday.I paid a 30% premium for a product that did not come as the advetised galvanized and did not even have the proper connector. I am keeping the product because, after modification, it works. I am leaving my rating a 1 star as it was not galvanized as advertised AND it had a male - not female connection. There is no "contact seller" option to see if this was a mistake or if it was intended to fool someone into paying more money for a "same" product. That is my impression.
