Super easy and perfect repair kit.
Thursday I dropped my phone and it landed flat on the screen. I had a protective tempered glass cover on it but the flat landing caused a couple cracks in the screen under it. Found this product as a highly recommend one by other amazon buyers and ordered it on Friday. With Amazon Prime it was delivered to my house on Sunday, real nice!Anyways, I had watched a couple videos on changing the screen so I had an idea of the steps. This product came with a step-by-step manual with nice pictures. The key items I really like about this product: 1) the screw drivers are magnetic so removing and mounting the screws was easy 2) the inside lid of the case has a template of the phone components and indicators of each screw you remove and it is magnetic, Genius! As the instruction state, you need to be super careful on putting the screws back into the hole they are removed from and this Screw Memory Pad makes it easy. The whole process took me 45 minutes. I do think of myself as a technically inclined person so the process was straight forward and actually easy, thanks to the instruction manual.Couple of items I want to point out in the instructions to help you out.1) On Step 9 the reference of the NOTE at the bottom of the page and B3 should be stated earlier. You need to make sure the metal thermal plate lays on top of the LCD Flex Cable. You will notice what I mean as one of the cables is folded and the one section goes under, shown in B32) On Step 9A it states to plug in the cables and turn the phone on to test it. You can not do this unless you reattach the battery which was disconnected in Step 2.3) Step 11A it states to remove the adhesive from the speaker rubber gasket. *Make sure you remove the old tape from the back of the cable so it mounts properly4) Step 11C it states to Align the proximity and ambient light sensor into their brackets. You need to fold the end of the cable under itself so it can fit into its bracket. I didn't remember it being folded under when I took it apart so I wanted to give you that heads upOne last instruction item to mention is during the step of attaching the Thermal Plate, do not tighten the screws. There are two other screw holes that need to line up as you attach other parts. Then tighten the 6 side screws right before attaching the cables to the mother board and before pushing the two sections together. I found this just made the reconstruction easier.Super easy and perfect repair kit. I added a picture of the inside of the package you will receive so you can see the tools and the magnetic "Screw Memory Pad".

Looks great and works!
This wasn't an easy screen replacement. That's not the fault of the HTECHY. They make it about as easy as they can by supplying you the tools, a magnetic mat, a screen protector and the actual new screen. The instructions are adequate, though nothing special. The tools are marginal quality (mass produced), and I was lucky to get one where the tri-point was detailed enough to get out some notoriously difficult screws. The magnetic pad was a good idea, but I ended up taking a picture of it, blowing it way up and then taping it to an artists cutting mat. Then as I removed each screw, I used a small square of painters tape to stick it to the appropriate colored spot on the iPhone image. I can with 100% certainty say that every single screw that came out of the iPhone ended up EXACTLY in the same hole as it came out of. You can't do that if you lump them all together in one pile (say in an egg carton or pill case). Some screws, in spite of the instructions, were actually different in size. The most difficult parts were removing the home button where there is an extremely delicate connection you have to separate and be exquisitely careful in doing so, and removing the camera, speaker and flash assembly. Reinstalling that was odd, but it ended up working after I put the phone back together. Everything worked including the home button, camera, flash, haptic feedback, touchscreen.I was delighted to get it done and it now looks brand new. Now, to send it back to Verizon to get my trade-in. Shhh....no one tell.

FIX YOUR TOUCH ID ISSUES! READ MY REVIEW!
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING SAVE THE OLD SCREEN BACK PLATE AND THE ORIGINAL HOME BUTTON aka TOUCH ID SENSOR otherwise you will lose the fingerprint reader functionality !!!!!ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR PHONEMAKE SURE PHONE IS TURNED OFF BEFORE STARTING THE REPAIRThis was a pretty straight forward screen Replacement until I hit the Touch ID Snag. For the touch id sensor to work again, you must REUSE the Original Home button as well as the Original back plate which runs a cable from Home button to the logic board. If you do not do that your home button will work but fingerprint reader Aka the "Touch ID" functionality will no longer work. So before you toss the original LCD, save everything until the job is done. What happened for me: After installing the screen and relocating all the components as directed, the touch ID did not work, I tripple checked all the connections and still nothing. Then I did a complete reset and restore of iOS (10.3.2) and after doing so Touch ID worked!!! , SO DONT GIVE UPyou might have to do a software restore and reinstall iOS as I did. MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR PHONE before doing a restore. Use iTunes to restore your iphone to factory.Packaging was very nice and it had all the tools even though I had everything already from previous repair jobs. I am not a screen repair guy I just diy everything around my house. I was pretty familiar with LCD replacements but not on iphone 6.LCD quality is not like the original screen but not bad at all for what it is.I also bought another screen replacement kit from CoreRepair and The quality of both seem about exactly the same I did not notice anything different.NICE PACKAGING, THE MAGNETIC MAT WAS AWESOME FOR MAKING SURE WHERE EVERY SCREW GOES. NICE TOUCH
