First book by this author not the last hot sexy romance adventure and wonderful happy ending he protected her she was an independent woman they fell in love and got a miracle

This was a great book. My first time reading something with such a twist. I normally just read regular romance novels, but I am very glad I gave thus one a chance.

I couldn’t put this book down! The emotions felt by the characters really come through the pages! I would recommend this book 👍

Cherry Gordon raced down the street hoping not to be late for her doctor’s appointment. Her cell phone rang and, in case the doctor’s office was calling, she dug it out of her purse. Her best friend, Hannah, was calling, so she kept quickly moving while she asked what was up. She stepped off the curb as a car came racing toward her and she froze! But seconds later, something barreled into her, knocking her out of the car’s path. A gorgeous man helped her to her feet, but when he told her she needed to look both ways crossing the street, she got defensive. At his offer to walk her across, she got even angrier and stomped across the street, almost getting hit two more times! She joined her husband, Toby, and the doctor in his office. Unfortunately, the doctor said he found nothing wrong with either of them, no reason for their not being able to conceive a child. Toby stormed out, furious, and when she joined him, he shouted that it was HER body rejecting this. She had often felt he blamed her, but hearing the words brought tears to her eyes and she returned to her office.Axel’s older brother, Hank, was not happy to hear about his brother’s heroics in saving the woman. He was upset that Axel would risk exposing their secret. If he had gotten hit by the car, his bear would undoubtedly have come out. Axel made plans to have dinner with his old Army buddy, Flash, who was aware of his dual nature. Hank warned him the invitation could be a trap, and to keep his bear hidden and not keep getting involved in other people’s issues.Cherry was still upset about Toby’s accusation, so after work she walked to her brother’s townhouse. Felix welcomed her, and she started to cry as she told him how Toby had acted in blaming her. Felix had never liked Toby and, after hearing what he said to her, he disliked him even more. Felix had a guest coming for dinner and as Cherry turned around to greet the man, it was the man who had saved her life that morning. Cherry was asked to stay for dinner and hear her brother’s Army secrets which she couldn’t pass up. At the end of the evening, Axel had to leave for a date he arranged online. Cherry was upset to hear that and had run to the bathroom to get sick, having definitely had too much to drink. When her brother told her Axel had left for his date, she drunkenly asked him if she could ever have a chance with someone like Axel. And when Axel met his date, for the entire evening, he imagined only Cherry dancing in his arms. He told his date he had to leave. And when Cherry returned home the next morning, Toby was furious, called her a liar when he said she stayed at her brother’s townhouse, and accused her of being with the guy whose aftershave he smelled on her the day before. Was this the breaking point for them? Was their toxic marriage over? With the secret Axel had to keep from her, would she have nowhere else to turn?This was a very enjoyable book focusing on relationships, good ones and bad ones. The friendship between Felix and Axel, the closeness of Felix and his sister, Axel and his brother, the toxic relationship between Cherry and Toby. All are displayed to the reader in this well-paced story line. How will the relationships sort out? Will everyone’s secrets be revealed? At first I wasn’t sure if I would like the storyline because Cherry is married to Toby her high school sweetheart and gets pregnant by her brother Felix’s best friend Axel but this story was written so perfectly that you have to love it. Lately all the novels I’ve purchased have felt rushed like the author tried to shove so much information into their extremely short book that I’ve paid .99¢- $8.99 for. Only to then offer a 10 book series where very book ends on a cliff hanger and is just as short. Fortunately, My Protector Bear’s Baby is a full length novel that leaves your mind completely satisfied in every way. It has heart ache, romance, loss, impulsive decisions, falling in love, happily ever after and the entire book pulls at the heart strings. Cherry and Axel meet when he pulls her out of the way of an oncoming car. As she is running late for an appointment, she doesn't stick around for introductions. She arrives at the doctor's office where her husband Toby is already waiting. They are trying to have a baby to no avail and the doctor informing them everything is normal doesn't help matters. While leaving the office, Toby blames her and she is devastated. She seek solace at her brother's house where she is introduced to his best friend Axel, the man who saved her life earlier that day. The two of them continue to run into each other and soon find themselves together. Once Axel finds out she's married, he panics. He doesn't know she caught him cheating earlier that day and that she is going to divorce him. They find themselves apart for several weeks until his uncle's funeral brings them together again. This time there is more at stake though, as she is carrying his child. Cherry struggles with how to tell him and is having trouble dealing with the stress of the cheating, divorce and her pregnancy symptoms. There are a few tense moments between Cherry, Toby and Axel but in the end, love wins the day and Cherry and Axel end up together.
