Great lamp-holders. I used these to add a socket into some decorative outdoor lanterns. The skirt is not porcelain, it's plastic, only the screw in portion of the socket is porcelain which is totally fine and preferred IMO, but the description suggested the entire product is porcelain. Super easy to use screw in terminals, I literally wired 2 of these sockets in about 45 seconds. Anyway, works as it should, easy to identify which terminal is the center, which should be wired to the hot lead, the neutral should be wired to the outer lead. I can't think of a single other feature I would want with a product like this.

These worked perfect for my application. I bought them to put in some reptile cages I’m building and the are an exact fit in the cages I bought to put them in!

I purchased these lamp holders thinking they had to be a little more robust then the ones for $1.50. They are not, and in fact quite inferior to the less expensive ones. They are the same plastic but the problem lies in the threads that hold the lamp in the socket. There is barley a single 360 degrees of thread and does not hold the bulb securely and the electrical connection is tentative at best. My intended use was for a LED lamp which is significantly heavier than a single bulb but the cheaper $1.50 lamp holders held the lamp securely and absolutely no issues. Please don't waste your money.

They seemed ok. I sent them back because I couldn't find a box that they would fit on. So I could use them as ceiling lights in my furnace room
