The combination wheels are a bit flimsy and the marked numbers get worn out pretty quick with simply human natural oil that's on our fingers. While it was locked there was a finger size gap where someone could stick anything sturdy in there to pry it open. I liked the padding that it brought and I liked the toughness of the exterior and the handle. I stored my Mac in here and, well it did it's job.

This case was ordered for two reasons. First and foremost, it was to be used for a music video. My best friend shoots movies (albeit the straight to video kind you find at Redbox), and also urban music videos. He had a case in mind for a particular music video, until I came across this, which I knew would be perfect. So it served its purpose beautifully, looks in person just like something you'd see in film.The other reason I ordered it was to store some of my Wife's camera equipment. The foam comes perforated in advance. Basically meaning you can remove sections of it as you like, and then fit whatever you want into it. It seems durable enough. And the combination at least will keep an honest person honest, if they happen to see it. We would take it locally, maybe on road trips, though I doubt we would ever fly with it. The style and appearance is so nice and distinct, that someone would assume there was something mysterious or valuable in it (and they'd be right). So we're very satisfied with it, and my friend is ordering a few more for himself to use in future film and music video productions.

Cheap but functional

I have always love these aviator style of hard cases, and I have a few that I use for storing various electronic equipment.PROS:1. Foam lining throughout the inside.2. Pre-scored foam insert, is removable and easily customizable to store and protect things like headphones.3. Metal corners offer protection.4. Cushioned handle.5. Great classic style.CONS:1. ABS panels as opposed to metal panels, but I realize that using metal would increase the price siginificantly.2. Combination locks as opposed to key locks, but this is personal preference.BOTTOM LINE:These types of cases offer a great way to store and transport sensitive equipment. The foam lining and pre-scored foam offer the ability to customize the hard cases to whatever your storage needs may be. Great looks, great protection, overall great product.

Nice to have for jewelry or other breakable items. My son removed the plush interior on the bottom to keep his more valuable baseball cards in that he collects. He also loves that he can lock them up. Dust free storage. Very durable with a solid handle and tough steel corners. They put protective rubber studs on bottom to keep from scratching desktops. It also sits more balanced that way. Transports easily with a tough carry handle. The hard handle isn’t all that comfortable to grip after a while unless you’re wearing gloves, which is cool because then you look like a secret agent with this case. Not sure if this is ok for airports. Probably has to be checked. Plenty of room in the interior.

I have several of these in different sizes. I have my cosmetology license and keep my scissors, cape, combs and clippers in it. There is foam that can be cut to any way you want. It is already in blocks some but can be cut more. It keeps my flattop comb from getting teeth broken from clippers hitting it as I carry it. I swear, I think you could put eggs in it loosely and they wouldn’t break. Anything delicate that is worth protecting would be great in this. It’s so versatile. You could use it for just about anything.

This is an attractive aluminum briefcase that seems quite durable in its construction. Having tried several of these cases, I've noticed that they vary quite dramatically in the quality of their construction and I'm quite happy saying that this seems to be one of the better ones. It has a comfortable handle and everything seems like it's built to stand up against quite a beating.Of course, as is always the case with these products, the hinges and latches seem to be the weakest points. If it does take damage, I'd fully expect those to be the first things to go, but it seems like the strong frame coupled with the interior foam should keep your items safe.Overall, I'd call this quite a good product. I'll be perfectly happy keeping some of my treasures in it.

The outside shell is sturdy aluminum so it protects the insides from damage. The handle can hold good amount of weight and there is also a double combination lock for security. Inside there is a thick layer of precut foam so that you can put anything you want there. But you can take out the thick layer and there will be thinner layer underneath if you do not need it. It's bigger than I expected which is a bonus. Hubs is elated.
